What

How the hell do you enjoy novels and movies when you already know how it is going to end? There would be no suspense and no climax.

Are you some sort of masochist? lipsrsealed

I don't think it's masochistic to not want to raise your BP unnecessarily. The ones that would rather prefer not knowing even though they can if they want to are the masochist.

It's masochistic in the sense that knowing the end of a story makes reading/watching the story boring......so boring that it becomes a painful task to complete the watching/reading.

You might actually do more than that, get that device they use in Black mirror to block people in real life cuz trust me GOT will be discussed in work place, school, even inside the church.

I was taught a terrible lesson 3 years ago and since then, I've perfected a way to checkmate the spoilers.

1. I know my offline friends that are GoT addicts and I stay away from them after each episode hits the Internet.

2. The noisemakers that updates just about everything on GoT on their Instagram or WhatsApp statuses, I stop reading their statuses.

3. I unfollow the Series thread just like I've unfollowed the GoT thread since January this year to avoid spoilers.

4. I don't make any attempt to download the episodes till the season is done, to avoid the temptation of watching them.

With this precautionary measures, I'm able to dodge the spoilers virus 95% of the time.

I'll unfollow this thread if possible if spoilers are continously dropped here, or learn to skip any GoT mentions on this thread.

That's the thrill of it. The wait. The anticipation. The preparation.

After watching an episode. You review it. You then go to youtube and other forums to discuss it with fellow fans. You come up with theories pertaining to what will happen in the next episode. You just cannot wait. At work, you still think about the upcoming episode. A day to the airing of the episode, you make plans to watch it in peace. You clear your schedule foe the upcoming episode. You even plan what to eat during the airing of the episode. The day arrives and you are there waiting to download the new episode. Only to find out that the release was postponed due to an obscure holiday in the USA.....

Knowing the end of a story won't take away the intrigue. You only saw the ending, not the content, remember? A lot of things can happen between a prologue and epilogue. There's no better payoff than knowing the antagonist will get f**ked in the end.

I got a lot of things to worry about than to waste my thoughts on an episode of a tv show. Out of sight, out of mind. What's the point of stressing yourself out when you can watch the whole season in your own terms?

All these stress over an episode when I can expertly avoid the spoilers like I used to, and watch the whole season in two days after it's complete?

I'll rather watch the whole season in two days than live in suspense and anticipation for 10 weeks.

In those two days, you will develop eye problem, neck problem and back problem. Sitting for many hours to finish a season of a series is t good for your body. angry

Then I'll watch it over a period of 5 days, 2 episodes per day, at least no suspense to kill me at any time, and it's still better than 10 weeks and excruciating pains from the cliffhangers. grin

You didn't guess the outcome? Come on I thought it was pretty obvious. Like it would have been really gloom if the movie ended on that very sad note without the movie reaching its climax. Beside, if first name Mister and last name Glass superpower is his mind, then he should have known who that psychiatrist really is.

To me, first name Mister and last name Glass stole the show. He's the hero, the villain and even the antihero, he made everything about him. He started it all and ended it all, it was all his endgame. Men Mr Glass is classic.

The only thing I find irritating in the movie was the appearance of Night Sakamanje. Like WTF, is he trying to pull a Stan Lee on us? lipsrsealed undecided
I literally turned off my reasoning cap the moment Dr. Ellie Staple, tried her best to make the audience, along with characters, believe that these men were suffering a delusion, that there was literally nothing special about them. It really got me thinking, like thinking outside the box & going off/ drifting off the context/concept, so in other to fully follow the movie, I had to empty my cup, turn off my reasoning & flow with the movie, so literally, with everything turned off, I was at the mercy of every twist & turn.

The trilogy left me asking questions like;
Is this supposed to be a lesson about the importance of believing in yourself? Or the power of superhero fiction?

What was Shyamalan hinting at??.
I used to think the whole point of UNBREAKABLE was to make us understand that strong fixations to fantastical stories when taken to extremes, are actively harmful to one’s personal life and the population as a whole. Here, we’re being clumsily told that superheroes are objectively wonderful and that anyone who tries to suppress them is a lame narc.

Yes the mastermind was both hero, villain & antihero at the same time, but in different context/scenario.....contrary to the movie opinion of the mastermind being all brainy & sh.it, i think he's just a sick fvck

Making the train wreck the primary focal point in the emergency of our hero & villain, IMO wasn't too good of a writing, Isolated events should have better given credence to our mastermind character. That train wreck was just a possibility with a very slim chance of obtaining a favourable outcome. Was Kevin Wendell Crumb initially part of the masterminds grand plan?? or was he a mistake/ a random outcome.
