grin grin grin

Then I'll watch it over a period of 5 days, 2 episodes per day, at least no suspense to kill me at any time, and it's still better than 10 weeks and excruciating pains from the cliffhangers. grin

Hmm..can you actually pull that off, considering the hyped suspense you'll be getting from the ones you've seen & knowing fully well you have the whole series to yourself & could actually choose to finish it up at a stretch & end the suspense.

I literally turned off my reasoning cap the moment Dr. Ellie Staple, tried her best to make the audience, along with characters, believe that these men were suffering a delusion, that there was literally nothing special about them. It really got me thinking, like thinking outside the box & going off/ drifting off the context/concept, so in other to fully follow the movie, I had to empty my cup, turn off my reasoning & flow with the movie, so literally, with everything turned off, I was at the mercy of every twist & turn.

The trilogy left me asking questions like;
Is this supposed to be a lesson about the importance of believing in yourself? Or the power of superhero fiction?

What was Shyamalan hinting at??.
I used to think the whole point of UNBREAKABLE was to make us understand that strong fixations to fantastical stories when taken to extremes, are actively harmful to one’s personal life and the population as a whole. Here, we’re being clumsily told that superheroes are objectively wonderful and that anyone who tries to suppress them is a lame narc.

Yes the mastermind was both hero, villain & antihero at the same time, but in different context/scenario.....contrary to the movie opinion of the mastermind being all brainy & sh.it, i think he's just a sick fvck

Making the train wreck the primary focal point in the emergency of our hero & villain, IMO wasn't too good of a writing, Isolated events should have better given credence to our mastermind character. That train wreck was just a possibility with a very slim chance of obtaining a favourable outcome. Was Kevin Wendell Crumb initially part of the masterminds grand plan?? or was he a mistake/ a random outcome.

A random outcome, methinks

I was obviously joking in response to Jerome's jokes too. My early submission showed that I don't even download the episodes to resist the temptation of having to see them before the season concludes.

I'll watch the whole season in 2 days or 3 days maximum. All i have to do is to take care of all my chores by Friday evening and write off going out during the weekends, then starting from early Saturday morning, I'll tackle it till Sunday.

I'll lay in my bed all day doing justice to it. Just watch, eat, rest, surf the Internet and repeat all the steps till I'm through.

OK, seems quite so to me too, but then again, some things don't just add up. Like how Is it really plausible that Kevin before GLASS didn’t really know how his father died considering he was a kid then & the huge amount of press coverage the event got as well as the large memorial service??
OK, let's say he suppressed it, in all those years, wasn't any of his personalities ever curious to find out what really happened?
I just feel some ideas felt forced onto the conclusion instead of it being a cohesive, organic part of the story.

Lol...getting the whole series before seeing 'em is actually a nice way to enjoy the series, but some colleagues of mine, at work have eaten the hairs on their head & vowed ruggedly to spoil it for me if i so choose to wait, so sadly enough, am compelled to see it at every release.

Some of us don't like the suspense. If the protagonist is gonna end up dying in the end, I'd like to know before hand so that I can save myself from the crushing disappointment. cheesy
I used to think this doesn't make sense until I got to watch Chuck with it's mumu ending.. Since then I only watch TV series that has been completed and before I watch I check the last episodes to check for any tragic ending cuz some producers no get sense.

A kindred spirit! Some people don't get it, but it's us just being simply pragmatic.

Pragmatic my ass. Did you also see game of thrones from the end? grin

I ask because the ending of any season of game of thrones leaves no impact as such

As a matter of fact, I do. Every season I'll wait for the show to finish airing, then download/stream the season finale, skip to the end just to eliminate any surprises, then I'll download the complete season and have a blast. Pragmatism 101.

No it wasn't. Every season was a blast... up until the season finale. What a sh*tfest that was! I took it for granted that the girl will come around, that her memory will be restored, but it never did... poor Chuck. The producers/writers completely copped out on this one. Left a sour taste in my mouth afterwards. Never again.

Almost all the endings of every season of game of thrones were anticlimactic. The only exception was the one that ended with the death of Ramsay Bolton.

I don't see what insight you gained from watching the end of game of thrones seasons.

Your pragmatic style fails in this particular time .

Of course, your pragmatic style might work for other series but not this one.

Okay. I stopped Chuck because it became silly to me after a while. I rank it on the same level as Nikita. Good start, bad finish.

Open ended, not anticlimactic. It's only anticlimactic if there's no follow up.

Yes. But my point still stands.

I just cannot believe that someone can watch the end of a series before the beginning.

I swear. Your pragmatic style has been busting my head.

What's next? You are going to tell me that when you go to burger king, you eat eat the beef in the burger before the bun? Where does this madness end?

Bad analogy, not the same thing at all.

Nope, your point is invalid cuz knowing the open-ended primary plot lines beforehand will not only further convince me to enjoy the show with a foreknowledge that they (primary plot lines) will be dealt with at the the subsequent season, but will also eliminate any disappointment that usually comes with inconclusive endings/cliffhangers.

I don't do it on movies on the account of their limited capacity, and suspense being an important aspect of them. But on tv series and novels, yup, gotta break out the pragmatism. It's the only way I can keep my sanity.

HYPED 2019 MOVIES THAT HAVE DISAPPOINTED (PART 1).

- Glass: Yes, I know I'm going against the grain here, but this conclusion to the Unbreakable trilogy is terrible. It dragged, and the ending was f**king horrible. It's comical how much exposition Shyamalan utilized to keep the shoddy story going. Unbreakable deserved better than this. The only highlight is James McAvoy. Dude's one hell of an actor. Night Shyamalan is an unmitigated fraud.
- Captain Marvel: Decent-ish, but I expected better. What bugs me the most is the fact that they never bothered to explain her powers. Also I find her incredibly boring.
- Pet Semetary: The novel introduced me to Stephen King's writing, and I've been a fan ever since. Damn thing was the scariest book he's ever written. Anyhoo, this remake is a dumpster fire. The worst crime a horror can commit is be more boring than scary.
- Triple Threat: How could a film with so many martial art veterans get it so wrong? Watch this movie and find out.
- IP Man: Legacy: Entertaining but I dunno... I expected more, I guess. Solid on the martial arts front, weak on everything else. The flimsy plot is just a bridge connecting the eye catching fight scenes to the next. Not a compelling watch like the legendary trilogy.

You left out two previous releases and dive straight to the concluding part and you expect to understand what what the movie is all about?

You think this is Nollywood?

People may see the 2 installment and still conclude Glass was trash...i think M. Night Shyamalan messed up what would have been a grand finale...fitting end kind of sha, but could have been more...only hi light is James MacAvoy performance.. Other than that meh...Samuel L Jackson might as well not appear in the movie at all..could count how many words he said...and the movie was riddled with plot holes..absolutely loved the first 2 installments, but 37% on rotten tomatoes for Glass really does tell the whole story.
