Congrat @GladmanGoddey! Just want to share some of my experience with you that ruined my first $100 live account that you might want to avoid

* Setting target - I set a target that I must make daily and that made me to stop trading and started gambling. No target pls, let the market give you the setup in line with your strategy. No force trading

*Overtrading - Opening 6 - 8 trade positions. Overtrading is one of the doings that blew up my account. I always have many open positions then. What I will do different now is not have more than 3 open positions at a time.

*Risk mgt: I will stick to 0.01lot size for my $100 account and suppress every iota of greed to grab it once with a bigger lot size. Imagine I was using 0.05 to trade like three open positions in my $100 live account then, free food for the market right! I know better now

*Check News: Didn't consider much of the effect of news then but now is an invaluable part in my trading strategy

*Start a trading Journal: Didn't know the importance then but someone taught me about it some weeks ago and I intend to start using it soon

*know your Instrument: I use to trade all the currency pairs in the market but I recently learnt the importance of reducing to some few pairs, studying and knowing them well.

These are some of the few and many more plans I did not use in my first live account that I think blew my account and you might want to consider them.

Perhaps above all else, the top 5% of traders understand that self-master is the road to mastering the markets. Ironically, the market is not something anyone can master, all you can do is master yourself and then you will begin to see your trading improve.

How do you “master yourself”, you ask? Start by accepting you are not perfect, you have flaws, just like everyone else in this world, and those flaws mean you are human and humans do some very, very stupid things in the market just due to how we are wired. However, through ongoing trading education, being open-minded and not accepting failure as an option, you will have a real chance at moving up from the bottom 95% of traders into the coveted 5% group. Remember, there is no “Holy-Grail” to trading success, there is only mastering yourself, sticking to the plan and goal and doing whatever it takes to achieve it.

@infofirst, I totally agree with your opinion. No system is perfect. We all have to have a plan on when to enter a trade, when to come out if it goes in our direction but reverses, when to come out if it does not go in our direction, and when to take profits. If you have multiple setups, each setup may require a separate plan. Trading done tire me.

Please bosses in the house add to this list if I have missed anything of importance. I really need to work on a strict plan but I understand I am human so I would still make mistakes.

Yes, learning from history or others is better but human as we are wired, usually preferred to learn from experience.
It depends on your strategy but you have to modify your strategy such that it will not result into overtrading.
If your strategy leads to over trading then your strategy has not yet arrived at the final point

Kudos bro. Aside the reward, learning with a reasonable amount in demo and then trading it as if it's a live account usually helps to train the mind

@Benqozenero... Even before looking at your trade, I could see USD is pose for a bear next week. So your trade thst you are keeping over the weekend should pay more and the question... Why did you sell the uj? What did you see that prompted your decision? What is your tp? Why did you set such tp?

I am doing great Boss. Sure, still in the trade. This particular Signal Pattern do give about 100 to 400pips. sometimes even as much as 500pips on a good day. So I am looking to see how much of these pips I can get from it.

Bro not necessarily. The key thing is to have tested the consequences of doing things the different ways. It may be even better to trade more, depending on what you are doing.

Only when you have no extensive knowledge about the different scenarios you tread the path of caution (which honestly in my opinion is not always the most profitable or even the safest). The key is confidence in knowing what you are doing.

Good plan you have there, Boss. I am looking at Elliot 5-3 wave, before I consider closing out to enter opposite direction.
The impulsive (5)waves is already completed, price is currently in the formation of a Corrective (3) waves and we are still in the 1st leg of the WXY. so until the WXY is completed, I remain solid in sell position. if its going to take me out (which would be strange) so be it. hehehehe.
