codedguy1: Exactly.... Your ocean of wisdom will not dry. It's a calculated move to avoid paying the new minimum wage by end of May if the process is finalised before then |

life....when some are crying that they have not received 6months salary, this ones are rejecting payment that they have not even worked for...maybe they don't want to spend their salary before time....this is what I call sensible stupidity. 1 Like |

I don't understand what all the hoopla about wage increase is for, afterall the differential will be eaten up by inflation within a few months as the real sector of the economy adjusts its pricing to accommodate the surplus cash. NLC is made up fools and barely literate individuals. Instead of struggling for minimum wage increment they should put pressure on the government to restructure the economy by taking emphasis away from oil & gas to agriculture and processing of agro-products for export and local consumption. Establish model farms in all the 36 states, train the youth in modern farming systems and employ them to be productive on those farms while giving the bright ones startup capital and technical support to build their own private farms from the scratch. If we could cut down our import bills on food and clothing items and also employ the masses with the same gesture, Nigeria would have taken a big step away from the precipice. Else if this country should find it impossible to sell crude oil for just two weeks, there will be total chaos and mayhem in the land. 1 Like |

Cross River worker should be migrated down to osun state and osun worker should go to cross river. I think by then, the cross river workers will appreciate their Governor. 1 Like |

If that be the case, let him be consistent with it. Let him pay every first day of the month. For instance, let the salary for the month of June be paid on June 1st. That way there won't be any kind of issue. That would be salary would be received upfront. S H I K E N A ! |

Re: Cross River Workers Unhappy With May Salary Advance by Kennydoc(m): 6:00pm On May 01, 2019 |
JoshuaGabriel: Nothing proactive about paying salary on the first day of the month. Many of those workers will have so much money in their hands (about 2 months salary) and think they've arrived, but by the end of this month, all the money is gone. How do you expect them to survive till 3rd or last week of June when they will receive June salary? When salaries are paid too early especially when it is not a regular pattern, workers suffer by the following month. 1 Like |

Serious depression for Kogi workers. Just give them your governor for three months and test Yahaya Bello. |

Some people dont have sense at all. Paying May salary a week after paying April means these people wont get any salary for the next 8 weeks, do you know the implication? By next week (or 2 weeks) max, many of them will be broke. Its a Greek gift if only you understand 1 Like |
