My assessment.

I think it's a great episode. I was impressed on how Danny learnt to maneuver the scorpion and how she laid waste to Euron' s iron fleet and the golden company. However she did not observe the rules of war relating to belligerent combatants and civilians. In War, once your enemy surrenders, they become prisoners of war. You don't kill an unarmed man. The Lannister army surrendered and yet they were all slaughtered. Kings Landing was easy for the taking and as such, they shouldn't have killed women and children, especially for someone like Danny whose message has always been to liberate people against tyrant rule. Can you imagine the hypocrisy of that?

If you argue that all Danny did was as a result of so much she has lost, can you then justify the actions of Cersei who became cruel after she lost her children?

I do not think Danny killed innocent people and burnt them because of Missandei' s death or loss of her dragons. She had always complained and whined about how people from King' s landing and North do not like her. When the Lannister army surrendered and stood down. SHE WAS PISSED AT HOW LONG IT TOOK THEM TO RING THE BELL OF SURRENDER, WHICH MADE HER MAD TO THINK THAT THE PEOPLE WILL NEVER SUPPORT HER. WHAT TRIGGERED HER WAS THAT LITTLE TIME BEFORE THE BELL WAS RUNG.

The horror the innocent citizens of King's Landing faced lends credence to the saying that when two elephants are fighting the grass beneath them bears the brunt. She is human and has been pushed to the walls this time around. She lost another dragon, her closest, most loyal and trusted advisor in horrendous fashions right before her eyes. You don't expect her character to stick to the cliche by allowing every fury raised in her by these circumstances swept under the carpet.

Sentiments, sympathy and emotions had to be ignored and the right outcome established. This is what endeared me to Game of thrones.

Also the gory scene was made to highlight the fact the Jon deserves the throne and will make a better leader.

It's obvious a large percentage of fans wants John to rule, so there was no better way to make us hate Dany than making her mad.

She couldn't burn the ship housing the weapon that killed her second dragon in episode 4, but she destroyed a lot more in this episode. Nonsense writing there. She loved her dragons more than anything; watching one die should have given her the rage she needed to destroy Euron's fleet.

I'm surprised people are justifying her actions. They want us to hate her. If you still support Dany, then GOT has done a terrible job. She won the war already for heaven's sake. Burning the whole city was unnecessary. Yet, someone said it's war and she was angry. Missandei and her dragons' deaths weren't the cause of her actions. She wanted to ignite fear since she found out the people won't love her. Well, she succeeded by creating more enemies. John's love for her might fade and Arya is now pissed - she almost died.

Taking about Arya, how on earth did she survived? Oh! The stupid prophesy about shutting brown and green eyes will be the dragon's and/or Dany's ba? I believe they will tell us the gods protected her and kept her alive for a reason. Thousands, if not everyone died in the city, but Arya and that horse wore dragonproof.

Euron and Jamie's fight was unnecessary. I'm not sure if he was the only one that survived the destruction of his fleet, but who would survive fire and dive straight into it minutes later? He should have fled since he knew the battle was lost, but no! He was going back to the Red Keep when he saw Jamie. The mumu na wanted to fight. That scene is so dumb!

What she did only highlighted that she is as mad as her father.

There is no going back for dany now. Ever since the reign of her father, the kingship has always had it's morality or legitimacy questioned. Either mad aerys, drunken Robert or brutal lannisters. This show places westeros as a kingdom looking for that elusive peace..and only King with pure heart and without baggages deserves that throne. Even if Dany were to rule, Her massacre by her dragon and 'foreigners' will sooner or later lead to rebellion. I suspected this madness when she burned that fellow in S5 despite him pleading for his life.
Jon should sit on the throne. He is of the noble stark and also a targaryaen and the rightful heir.

I love Arya a whole lot but the way the show runners project her makes her look overrated. One minute, you left Winterfell with the purpose of killing Cersei, only to rescind on the decision with eyes like that of an adorable puppy.

The amount of fear she shows at the brink of death is overwhelming and shocking for a top notch assassin who fairly knows death. And to think that she had some flash-like powers to kill the NK is interesting amidst all the fears she exhibits.

She is an assassin trained to kill people, yes.

But that doesn't mean she should go die needlessly when there's little to no chance of her making it out alive.

If she had gone into the rubble to show she's a fearless assassin, she'd have died with Cersie.

It'd have been a foolhardy decision.

It just wasn't her fight anymore.

And she was smart enough to see that.

Even with her going back, I'm surprised she still made it out alive.

Sandor went ahead because he was willing to fight to death to see the end of his brother.

That has been his sole aim all the while.

I think even the great Jaqen H'agar would have turned back at that moment.

I hate the fact that "madness" was used as an excuse to make her act in a way that was at odds with how she had been growing as a person.

Dany was my favorite character in season 1, and the Dany of Season 8 was the best Dany ever. Most forgiving, brave, friendly, etc. It's too bad.

There was a dream when she goes into the House of the Undying to rescue her dragons, behind one of the doors she goes into the throne room and there’s no ceiling and snow/ash is falling on the iron throne. Infact she was prophecied to be the queen of the ashes. Rally comes full circle now. GOT has given you guys clue.. but u blame then with lazy writing because things don't work out the way you want..

"You're a dragon. Be a dragon and boy was she a great dragon.
And she also Missandei. I took Missandei saying dracarys as a message to dany saying burn it all up. Which she did.

I'm glad Arya got out alive. She tried to fulfil her promise to kill cersei, but Dany got cersei first.
Sad about clegane's death, was having my doubts on he and arya staying alive, especially when both said they weren't coming back to winter fell. Thought this was the producers telling us that they would die. So glad Arya's alive. R.I.P clegane.

Qyburn's death was so sad. Like he was so inconsequential that he could be killed in such a nonchalant manner. Lol, by his creation nonetheless, and when did the mountain turn to the incredible hulk?

Varys, Euron, Jamie and the mountain finally dead.

I really want dany to deal with sansa in the finale. Sansa has been trying her all season. That's all I ask. D & D, that's all I ask.

Oh my gosh!! For years i have dreamt of this kinda movie, one where no one is perfect. Damn, anyone who does not like this episode should kindly go back to telemundo. This is officially my best episode followed by the episode where cersei killed the old sceptre that I could watch 100 times. More than 1hr of non-stop suspense and unpredictable moves. I'm not sure I blinked all through. I've already resigned to my fate of going to work late today, anything wey wan happen make Im happen , Dearest Weiss and co, long may they live!!!

At the beginning, Dany followed my 'advice'. She destroyed Euron's fleet, the ballistas, and the golden company, forcing the Lannisters to surrender. I was so impressed. She had mastered the use of her dragon and won the battle for Kings Landing without any civilian casualties.

And then the heartbreaking horror show started. It took less than 5 minutes for me to go from "you go, girl!" to "that bitch needs to die".

Imagine how people, after killing many, suddenly become soulful and innocent looking when they are about to die!

Poor tyrion family really is everything to him My favorite part of the episode.
