It's no news that the presidency has given directives to trailers and tankers plying the Apapa port area to vacate immediately. According to the directive, they have less than 72hours to comply and an order has been given to the Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police, The Army, and Lagos State Government to see to it that the port and all its extensions are rid off tankers and trailers in 14 days. As much as the people are happy with with the directive and applauded the presidency for finally taken the bold steps to rid Lagos of this menace, many have been asking where these tankers will go. It's one thing to give a directive and its another thing to provide a solution that won't make them to go back to this spot again. AutoReportNG got some exclusives image from the company handling the marking project of this park. The project is the 350 capacity new Apapa Tin Can Truck Park in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Power Works and Housing and Borini Prono. The federal government uses the Tektron Engineering for the truck park demarcation, directional symbols, and numbering. These are exclusive images of the park... I see someone saying “this is what they should’ve done”. Nonsense. So government just woke up yesterday and said let’s put this park here to clear the gridlock and Gbam! We have this. Is it not obvious that the government had been doing something about it for a long time co projects like this would’ve taken nothing less than 3years from initiation and design to this level. cornel994: Just like you didn’t know about this park same way you dont know about the one in east that is being delayed by the second Niger bridge. seunmsg: That park is not too small when you factor in the kaduna dry port that is already functional and Ibadan dry port that is coming on board. Also the one in the east that is being delayed by the second Niger bridge plus the Warri port(which I read something positive about sometime ago) 18 Likes 2 Shares |

Drabeey: The Truck park was constructed by Federal ministry of works. It has nothing to do with Ambode. @OP, the truck park is a good initiative but it is too small to make a significant impact on the Apapa axis gridlock. 6 Likes |
