No kidding bro, somehow, my subconscious couldn't let go. I had to see an episode from a sitcom every night, before going to bed.
Hereditary gave me nightmares, so I know where you're coming from.

Spirited Away- When I saw the movie reviews online, saw the amount of awards it has won over the years (including the 2001 Oscar for best animated feature) and even read that it is Japan's highest grossing movie ever, my curiousity was more than piqued. "What is all the hype about a cartoon sef?" I asked myself.

So I downloaded it.

And was transported to another world.

10/10. Five stars.

There are just no words... This is the best animated movie I have ever watched in my entire life. smiley

Are you kidding me, that animated flick is like the holy grail of all animated flicks, one of my very best and archive material for that matter, that was why i recommended it here. All those animated flicks on my first list are definitely worth every kb of ones data.

Everest...6.5/10
Genre:Action, Adventure, Biography

A flick based on the true story of Robert Hall and Scott Fischer's expedition to the summit of Mount Everest.
I think one problem with this flick was that it tried to make a disaster & a documentary flick at the same, but failed to develop any of 'em properly, more of a jack of all trade.
Overall, the scenery was stunning, the cinematography was certainly good & the acting was quite average. The flick was an eye opener on the risks involved in making it to the summit of Everest & back, as the possibility of avalanches, altitude sickness, hypothermia, frost bite is so huge that out of 10 climbers, less than 5 do successfully make the journey, even the guides don't make it most times
.

After seeing this flick, am just puzzled as to the motivation behind those who summit Everest. What would make a sane person spend at least $30,000-$130,000 to summit the most dangerous & highest point on Earth, and the most painful of all is that when they die, not even their corpse makes it back home .

Can you recommend more really interesting sci-fi movies like Interstellar and this Minority report?

I heard Tom Cruise does his own stunts.

Have you seen Edge of Tomorrow?

and yes Tom Cruise does his own stunts. Do you know he is yet to win an Oscar?

To win Oscar is no easy thing...it really has to take a challenging role not your usual action movie and tom cruise doesn't really act those sort of films, the film he starred which had Oscar written over it was a few good men but jack Nicholson is a beast

Just like any other thing regulated by an industry controlled by the Leftist, the Oscar is over rated - so is the Grammys.

I would agree with you on the Grammy's but at least to a certain extent, the Oscars is more credible, even if you feel the supposed winner doesn't get it,watch who finally wins it and the role played, then you'd understand...especially that year I think DiCaprio was snubbed for his role in wolf of wall street until I saw the performance of Matthew in Dallas buyers club

I didn't even know you recommended it here but I saw it on an online poll.

Asians love their culture and always showcase it through their artwork, but Africans? Nigerians, especially the atheists call our culture 'backwardness' and try to be more European than the European. I don't know if it is brainwashing, inferiority complex, or self-hatred resulting from this inferiority complex.

Another Disaster waiting to happen.

the guy that played the voice of Kratos in My beloved PS2 God Of War was black, they should jejely stick to the script or follow the part of the Mr ITK Directors/Writers that have succeeded in ruining almost all game to movie adaptations.

An to think most rpg video games have outstanding writers than, am not too optimistic about this.

You right, I guess that why Steven Segal once said in one the Grammy presentations that its a big deal to be among the nominees in the Oscars cos you could as well have won it.

I quite agree though, its inferiority complex, but it's not just the atheists, it transcends beyond ones belief. Inferiority complex is a general feeling amongst most people of colour, much reference to blacks.

True. While I'm a fan of Tom, I've not seen any portrayal by him deserving of an Oscar. People that win Oscars usually put up a perfect portrayal of a character and action genre are not really considered in Oscars, and that's where Tom usually falls in.

My recent Oscar dissappointment was Green Book winning best picture ahead of Blackkklansman.
The year Di caprio won I think was out of pity. Michael Fassbender deserved it for his role in Steve Jobs.

Exactly, brad Pitt is another favourite of mine whom hasn't won the Oscar as an actor...he also doesn't play those kinda roles...I think his most challenging roles have been fight club and 12 monkeys...

But I'm hearing good review about this latest movie with DiCaprio..once upon a time i n Hollywood...it isn't out in our cinemas yet

Yeah...it felt weird Leonardo had to win for his perfomance in revenant...it was more like compensation..
