CAN YOU SOLVE THIS

—+—+— = 30
Fill the lines using
(1 3 5 7 9 11 13 15)
You can also repeat the numbers,but must be three numbers only.

This question came in UPSC final exam held in December 13 at India.

You will be glad to note that only Gaurav Agarwal(IAS topper) could solve it.

The answer is no answer because there is no way you can add odd number (3) of odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15) to get an even number - 30.
I solved it.

Olodo
I sent you to school,bought big big textbooks.
Textbooks that are even bigger than Bombay.

It's is your type that will still turn w to m.

This boy will not kill me, the answer to what you just solved is 20.

Ooops that was a typo. There was supposed to be a 1 before the 3 to make 13.

Just use 5 and 7. That's all....

—+—+—
The above can also be written as =>
(—)(+)(—)(+)(—)
The bracket means multiplication...
And also =>

=>> (—+5)(—7)+(—5)

=>> (-5)(-7)+(-5)

=>> 35 + (-5)

=>> 35 - 5

=>>30

Solution:
11-1+11-1+11-1=30

Nice...15, 9 and 3 (15-3+9-3+15-9 = 30) will work out for addition and subtraction too...but still not all that correct, considering the problem has only two plus (+) and three minus (-). Changing it to +-+-+- becomes something new and different! But using multiplication, addition and subtraction does work since there was no instruction(s) given to the contrary.
