If Mali is a potent team for beating Mauritania. Is Mauritania also a potent team for beating Mali in 2017? grin grin grin

Rohr on the Guinea game: We have three points already & another 3pts will put us in a good position to qualify. I have a few injury problems with the fullback's with Shehu @OfficialShehu and Jamilu Collins out.

But Samuel Kalu is fit and I must commend @CAF_Online.

Super Eagles Embark On Pay Strike Pre-Guinea, Boycott Mandatory Pre-Match Press Conference
Published: June 25, 2019

The Super Eagle player representative boycotted the mandatory pre-match press conference held at the Alexandria Stadium on Tuesday morning ahead of their second group match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations against Guinea.
The Super Eagles players were having an in-house meeting as the press conference was ongoing.

A verifiable source has confirmed to allnigeriasoccer.com that the reason why the players are having a meeting and one player did not show up at the press conference is because funds supposed to be credited to their accounts on Monday is being delayed by the Nigerian Federation.

It has been suggested that the money has been approved but the players have not received the payments due to bank issues.
The players are angry and disappointed with the Federation, and that's why a nominated player refused to come for the press conference.
The three-time African champions are scheduled to train at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport on Tuesday afternoon, starting from 1630 hours..

Ifeanyi Emmanuel

THEY HAVE STARTED AGAIN.
NFF WHEN WILL ALL THIS RUBBISH END.
THEY BETTER GO BACK TO THERE RESPECTIVE CLUBS. NONSENSE

Stars of the team without Blanc? Bhuhahahaha!

How come you don't know Blanc? grin

You are really ignorant, honestly!

Snapshot 1..... round of 16... How many Ligue 1 players?

Fabien Barthez (1), Laurent Blanc (2) David Trezeguet (3), Thienry Henry (4), Bernard Diomede (5), Stéphane Guivarc'h (6) and Robert Pires (7) executed the match and they were all Ligue 1 players as at that time. grin

Blanc scored the winning goal.

Snapshot 2.... Quarter finals. How many Ligue 1 players?

Fabien Barthez (1), Laurent Blanc (2) David Trezeguet (3), Thienry Henry (4) and Stéphane Guivarc'h (5) played in the quarter finals. Ligue 1 players. grin

Three Ligue 1 players scored in the penalty shootout. Where were the foreign league stars? grin grin

Snapshot 3 ......Semi finals. How many Ligue 1 players?

Fabien Barthez (1), Laurent Blanc (2) David Trezeguet (3), Thienry Henry (4) and Stéphane Guivarc'h (5) played the semi finals.

You can see why Blanc didn't play the final due to red card. You don't have any idea that Ligue 1 players dominated the world cup winning French team. grin

That your final list didn't tell the story.

Did you read stars of the team? You are showing me substitutes entering. As I said, you are just browsing and arguing. Thierry Henry and Trezeguet for instance were young players of the team breaking in, not star players. That is why you see them coming in as subs in the game. The Ligue 1 players were not stars of the team.

As I said, keep arguing. Only Barthez and Blanc. I don't remember Guivarch even scoring despite playing as a top 9. As I said, keep arguing.

Finito.

Blanc was a star of the team. A big one. A leader. He was one of the very few French players that were among the top stars. Keep in mind the likes of Ibrahim Ba, Cantona and Ginola were dropped by Coach Aime Jacquet.

So from your argument, are you saying the home based players were stars of the French team at the World Cup? They were not. Even Guivarch was not up to par.

If you like you can live with your ideas that Ligue 1 was King. You can see even in the French sides, their players were not King. That is enough to show you the fact.

You can keep denying but it can not change the truth.

You think you can fool me? grin

France didn't win the world cup with one match. They played many teams before they got to the final.

Show me all the starting eleven from group stages to Semi finals and I will show you the numbers of Ligue 1 players that dominated that team. grin

List the top 11 players of the France 98 team first eleven and let us see where your French league was. By the way, what of PSG? grin

There is a difference between last say and someone trying to argue a valid point by posting something that is not conclusive. I just pointed the fact out. Not having the last say. If he has another point to disprove let him do it. Saying dragging for days, that is what the thread is about.

If not we will just leave everything alone and just watch football.

They are all the same. Both CAF and NFF . Corrupt and useless. Do you think Amaju could have Rose to that kind of position in CAF, if he doesn't know how to play their game?

It a result of the new Fifa rules

Every ball that touches the arm in the box is now a pk, Keepers can't dive forward for penalties anymore, so many stoppages in play

I wish we didn't have VAR

Our girls were denied a penalty by VAR for that incident. Its now becoming clear that VAR is being used to favour a selected group of teams...

If this is true, then forget about winning anything in this AFCON. History has shown that whenever this happens, we never amount to anything on the pitch

In 2013, the situation wasn't much different. But we still won.

On a more serious note, why are you so hell bent in seeing this team fail... U have nothing but criticism for everything they have done so far!! Can't u show a little optimism and support?

I have never been Akpeyi's biggest fan but I think Rohr should stick with him for now. He had a good game against Burundi. He was a lot more composed than when I saw him in the against South Africa.

O pari

Nigeria vs Guinea: Pre-match Conference

Rohr on Akpeyi: Akpeyi started as No. 1 because Ezenwa had an injury in camp in Asaba & Akpeyi did well in the friendlies. Uzoho is No.3 & now that Ezenwa is back we have a tough decision to make ahead of the game.

AkpeyiDaniel performed well against Burundi.
