A team that lost to two group games and only managed a Scrappy win against Namibia and a fluke against Egypt is suddenly going to win the super eagles.I quote a fellow Nigerian," anything can happen in football but not with our wives(bafana bafana) we know how to handle them. You think we will play that fast game were every player runs like headless chickens.we are going to calm you guys with a proper touch of African football. grin grin

Cool

I don't see super eagles winning against Bafana Bafana. Bafana squad is full of SA PSL players unlike Nigeria where most players are playing overseas. most Bafana players know each other's play very well.

Please beware of this players:
Thembinkosi Lorch - PSL player of the season, orlando Pirates.
Themba Zwane - Mamelodi Sundowns, PSL player of the season 1st runner up.

Nigerians living in South Africa would answer that question better, in case I'm accused of covering up when I say it's not so.
The long & short of it though is, we're not all xenophobic. 50/50, I'd say.

In Nguni languages "bafana" can mean boys or young men. Their age determines which group they fall under. The guys in Bafana Bafana definitely aren't boys in that context, but "boys" in same sense people call their male friends "my boys".

Rememeber PSL is rated among top 10 leagues in the world, is not some small league like Nigerian league. is difficult for PSL players to go to overseas because they are already getting enough salaries.

PSL players are not not like west African players where everyone wishes to go and play in Europe.

FCON 2019: Highest goal scorers ahead of quarter-final matches [Top 17]

Four players are tied on three goals each, ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final fixtures.

They are: Odion Ighalo (Nigeria), Cédric Bakambu (Congo DR), Sadio Mane (Senegal) and Adam Ounas (Algeria).

However, only three are still in the race to win the Golden Boot, as Bakambu’s country has been eliminated in the Round of 16.

The Super Eagles will be looking to Ighalo, when they take on Cameroon, while Mane is the Teranga Lions’ danger man as they play Benin.

Ounas should be in action, when Algeria clash with Ivory Coast for a place in the semi-final.

Top scorers so far:

3 goals: Ighalo (NGR), Mane (SEN), Bakambu (COD), Ounas (ALG)

2 goals: Belaili, Mahrez (both ALG), Elmohamady, Salah (both EGY), Andriamahitsinoro (MAD), J. Ayew (GHA), Bahoken (CMR), En-Nesyri (MAR), Okwi (UGA), Olunga (KEN), Pote (BEN), Yattara (GUI), Zaha (CIV)
