Earthquake2:He wasn't disastrous and even at that he would be able to swap position with Etebo further forward. Musa can play on the right if he's there solely for making runs into the box instead of this pseudo playmaking nonsense he's been trying to do lately. |

mostob: You sabi shumthing. But I think it has to do with communication and understanding. See the cross Chukwueze gave Ighalo that he was suppose to tap into the post. Lokomotive Moscow will be playing in the Champions League this season. Hope he gets to play and perform well enough to get a call. |

edi287: Exactly! But I would had brought in Aina for Awaziem first to see if he could had helped free Chukwueze and gotten him pace to ran at the defenders before switching to that formation peradventure it didn't work. The problem was, Rohr didn't have plan B. 1 Like |

Why would I hate the player? I've never been impressed with Shehu. Why should I make a call for a player of that caliber? Tell me how many games Shehu has played well for us. Players do drift to other positions during game time, so there is simply no excuse. BascoVanVeli: |

lol...as if Iwobi was in the AM position when he laid that brilliant pass for Chukwueze against SA. That's the kind of pass we demand from our wingers all the time. edi287: 1 Like |

Joebie:Exactly. Notice how he drifted outwide and Samu moved to the middle?? That's how you utilize Iwobi properly. If you want to play him outwide - have someone who mobile and drifts around as a 10. It's the same thing he does at Arsenal with Ozil(when he isn't shit). He can do that with Etebo when playing outwide or Samu when playing as a 10 |

forgiveness:The did the same thing Baxter did against us - not trying to change a winning formula so not to upset the harmony in the team. He should've known it wouldn't work against Algeria. |

CAF disown Pinnick, NFF on $565,473 spent on congress by Samm Audu July 14, 2019 6:48 pm The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have distanced themselves from a claim by the Amaju Pinnick-led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that they spent $565,473 ( more than 198 million Naira) to attend a CAF congress in 2015. This position was in response to an inquiry by the Nigerian anti-corruption agency SPIP, which sought to know if CAF were aware of such expenditure. The NFF claimed they spent a whopping $565,473 to be part of the CAF Congress in 2015 when facts later emerged that the Nigerian delegation received their flight tickets and their boarding and other expenses were borne by the continental football ruling body. However, in a letter dated June 30, 2019, and signed by general secretary Mouad Hajji, CAF clearly told SPIP they did not receive the said amount from the NFF. CAF also made it clear that they take up the expenses of member-associations to their official events like the congress. “1. Referring to the financial report, it appears that CAF did not receive any payment from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). “2. The participation of all the National Associations in the Congress is free and requires no contribution from the latter to the holding of General Assemblies and these expenses by CAF for all the representatives of the participating federations of these congresses. “In conclusion, I confirm that no contribution from the NFF has been received by CAF.” CAF further said they will be available to the anti-corruption agency should they need any more clarifications. The anti-corruption agency has brought a 17-count charge against Pinnick and four other top NFF officials ranging from embezzlement and corruption to failure to declare their assets. The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has since ordered the arrest of the officials and the matter has been adjourned till September 26. --ScoreNigeria |

Joebie:I mean I can understand the logic in bringing Shehu as a CM to free Etebo but Shehu isn't much of a controller and that is what we needed...not just an additional CM. |

Balogun should've started that game ahead of that Ekong. Ekong and Omeruo are horrible ball passers, they are only good for tackles and nothing else. Balogun brings that finesse and flair to the defence and in a game where Rohr intended to use his usual strategy of long passes from the CB's to the forwards, Balogun should've been the natural choice. I wonder how a coach can condemn a his best defender to the bench because of a single howler. That was just stupid of Rohr. 5 Likes |

Mikel should've started that game ahead of Etebo. Etebo is just a combative box to box hard tackling midfielder. No finesse, no passing abilities, no game control abilities, nothing. Service to our forwards was virtually non existent, courtesy of a dead midfield. Sadly, Mikel who should've been at the heart of the midfield was played out of position a couple of times and then condemned to the bench. Rohr needs to learn, you don't win a game with tackles alone. 1 Like |

Joebie: Stop changing my words I said you don't like the player nothing was mentioned about hate. Nobody asked you to make a call for anybody. Someone else made the call and you were acting like the person was crazy. Shehu has had more good games than bad. In fact I can't name a bad game he has had apart from maybe the Argentina friendly. All you people said "Shehu never goes forward but Awaziem played basically the same way and you are like what a great player so disciplined. |

edi287: That's one of Rohr's problem. He thinks other coaches will not try to study and frustrate the winning formula and find way through it. That's why he ought to have either changed his tactics or have plan B if he wanted to stick with the winning formula. Anyway, I don't want him anymore. He should be gone by now or we employ another assistant coaches to help him. 1 Like |

minfelix: That goalkeeper coach never gave other goalkeepers chance to prove themselves for 3 years. Even Alampasu was conspicuously denied the opportunity to show himself despite being the second or third choice goalkeeper for years. I don't want to say what I noticed in that goalkeeper trainer. Let me end it here. |
