Angelfrost: I am not excusing the leaders at all ma'am as a matter of fact, i have already accepted fate that we have no leadership in Nigeria and because of that, it is important for people to start to see it that they can't depend nor wait on the so called leaders because of what you said, they are all lip service and even when the government release funds, has it ever get to the hands of those that truly need them. . . . Now that we have established the fact that the government is just as useless as useless can be, what is NEXT? People can't and should not fold arms, people to start with whatever they can do and move on from it, it is possible to start with an acre of corn, it is possible to start with an acre of palm, people need to empower self if no one will empower them . . . Moving to Lagos has never been a solution and will never be. 1 Like |

Ugosample: I love this, but the question remain what is their going to Lagos gave to them? NOTHING, so instead of waiting for incentives, people need to start to take the bull by the horn and determine to succeed instead of waiting for the incentive, have you noticed that most of those cities you have mentioned has produced few wealthy people in Nigeria? So is it possible that they created that hostility to create monopoly of whatever they are doing? 1 Like |

Bahddo: Bros or Sister, we have to walk first before we can start to fly, basic food, we can provide and how will people work when they are hungry because they can't even afford to eat. . . . Someone that went to university for Agricultural engineer and yet don't wanna reside in the bush, why can't he or she see opportunity and mechanize the farming to make it better, not necessarily have to carry machete and hoes, the time has come to make farming look good Sir |

Ugosample: Yes, it is and i think it is actually the time for people to do so, when more from the west and east do more farming, the Northerners will know they are not indispensable |

Ugosample: Again, we can blame the government for the past, we can blame them for the present, but if we blame them for the future, we have a problem, it is time we pretend that we have no government, all level of government has failed and have nothing to offer, so lets move on from there and take the bull by the horn for a better tomorrow for us all . . . We have 2 choices: Chase out the fools called leaders Take the bull by the horn and create a future that we can be proud of without those so called leaders PICK ONE |

Fhemmmy:so you want our best doctors who could treat you when you need medical care to go and cultivate cassava instead? Same with vibrant entrepreneurs who have dreams of building the next big tech product? I get your point, but people aren't rushing to Lagos because they are hungry and there is abundant food there. Food is actually more affordable in most other states. Yes Nigeria should focus more on agriculture, but it cannot and should not take the place of industrialization. It is the lack of development in other states that is fuelling the mass exodus to Lagos. |

Pavarottii: When u said PH, i gt to knw it's enviousness. Imagine comparing PH to Lag. Lagos is jst a state everyone want to live and work, it must surely be overpopulated. Check those areas posted above, it's all occupied by people frm other states. The real Lagosians don't live like that. |

Angelfrost: How do you educate people that thing they know it ALL already? And i blame some of the movies they watching too, because lots if Nigeria movies will show a man goes to the city from village and come back with cars and building houses for mama and papa |

Fhemmmy: Yeah Right!...Cheap talk as Usual. The current leaders that you are trying to claim that Nigerians should pretend are not leaders are the products of where and how most Nigerians are and want. Nigeria just had an election last three months or so...some people are still claiming that the election was corruptly done, the Supreme court(which is already filled with corrupt judges) are yet to decide on the case if indeed the last presidential election was a freely and fairly conducted election( the media coverage about it already showed it was not)...and now you're trying to suggest that Nigerians should pick one...Yes, Nigerians already did that with the last elections. To continue with the old identity politics of standing by leaders that will favour their individual ethnic groups and not necessary what will bring about drastic changes to the current, chronic, failed and old and sad affairs of the Nigerian citizens and its country. |

Now that seaports are opening up in other parts of the country, can we now implore people to remain in their states and stop trooping to Lagos? Or they go develop the capital city as well. Angelfrost: |

Beautyaddy: Again, all i am saying is this . . .If you depend on someone that can't help you, what do you do? Move on and help yourself. The government don't have what it takes to help no one, Nigerian politics is not a "Help the masses" kinda people, but grab all you can while you are there. But this is not for us to talk about politics but to talk of moving forward by grabbing the bulls by the horn, no one will help NO ONE, so i have to help myself and you need to do same for yourself However, if the government turn around and decide to help, great! A government that for decades can't even provide the people with basic light? |

Fhemmmy:how many people have lands that they can farm? How many farmers in rural parts of Nigeria are comfortable? Why do you think the youth are running away from agriculture (and rural areas) in the first place? There is no incentive to engage in subsistence agriculture. Too much effort, not enough reward. To make it more lucrative, we need machines (and favorable policies). However, these machines are expensive because we are buying everything from other countries. The only way we would stop buying everything is by producing some. In the end, everything points to the obvious next step for Nigeria. Industrialization. We need more of it in other parts of Nigeria, besides Lagos. |

Bahddo: You are yet to see opportunities because you only see the issues, and where there are issues, there are bound to be opportunity. In life, you will only see what you chose to see and till you are able to see opportunities instead of problems, no one can force you to, sir, for the last time, the government needs to do a whole lot and many depends on them, that is a known fact, however, while the government is busy looting and doing nothing, do we fold arms and wait? 1 Like |

Fhemmmy:Underrate the importance of a government all you wish, there's no way Nigeria gets any better without favorable government policies to boost agriculture, commerce and industry. Herdsmen killing farmers in their farms (without any serious government intervention) is just an example. The people rushing to Lagos are trying to do the opposite of folding arms and waiting for the government. They are trying to go 'hustle' where they think opportunities abound. Only difference is that you think farming is the answer to all of Nigeria's problems and they disagree. 1 Like |
Re: Are These Not Signs Of Increasing Homelessness In Lagos State? (PHOTOS) by Beautyaddy: 5:41pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
Fhemmmy: Okay, yes...most Nigerians have already started to doing that and will continue...you know like to set up businesses, create and provide jobs to the best of their abilities to the little few people they can afford to do so with. However, you also have to understand that Nigeria is a country who still have elected leaders(either corrupt or not) that has been given authority to govern and control the affairs of the Country. And so no matter how people try to "grab the bulls by the horn" and get out to help themselves to bring about changes to themselves or their communities, the already failed Nigeria government in charge with their given powers will still put some restrictions on you. |

Beautyaddy: There will always be restrictions and opportunity to find ways around those restrictions might be the difference between you and poverty. I never said grab power from the so call leaders but instead of seeing a problem, see opportunities, anywhere or anytime, there is a problem, there is opportunities and a legit millionaire is made |

Bahddo: I never said farming is the solution to Nigerian problems BUT it is a way for a man that has no job or means of feeding to put food of his or her table instead of waiting on a government that don't even know what the problem is neither do they have a solution in mind . . . I am not underrating the existence of the government but i am telling you that they are useless, tell me what it takes to provide electricity for the people? You mean the government don't know how to OR their wickedness and greediness just make they to prefer Nigeria to be in darkness, how will you now depend on such set of people? Farming can never solve Nigeria's problem but can feed a man that has no job 1 Like |
