I'm a student in Ebonyi state University. I must commend Dave Umahi. He is really hard working, if you visit the state now, you will be so shocked at the level of development going on.


Meanwhile, Umueri International Airport, Anambra state, construction is going on there.... I'm from Anambra, and I'm proud of what Obiano is doing. Umahi is a light in the south east. With little state resources he has really changed Ebonyi state for good.

Oga I know lots of Ebonyi people, these people are still farmers. They would leave their base on rainy season just to go and cultivate food crops and come back feeding from hand to mouth. Give these people free and quality education first. Most Igbo hawkers are from the state. I give it to them, they are extremely hardworking though

EBONYI --- Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has kicked off the building of two gigantic projects,(International Airport & New Stadium), Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that Umahi inspected the commencement of the two projects today.

Speaking on the new projects, Umahi's special adviser on new media and project documentation, Francis Nweze said the coming of the above mentioned projects is no longer a story but a dream coming to reality.

In his words,

"The coming of the above mentioned projects is no longer a story but a dream coming to reality. On the return of the executive governor from his oversee trip yesterday, he stormed the sites of the International Airport and that of Stadium today. The two new gigantic projects promises to be the best in the country as it is under the watch of the finest hand in engineering and governance."

Igbere TV gathered that the two projects will be completed within three years.

It took Dave Umahi 3 years to finish building from start; 3 fly over bridges in the Abakaliki town. And in that 3 years, renovate the old Abakaliki stadium into a more acceptable stadium. All in 3 years.

I want to say he'll be first fo finish the international airport but i also remember he has one more fly over under construction (4th) at Abaomege town and an international Mall under construction.

Adding an airport will only slow down the pace of its delivery but hey we're talking of Dave Umahi here so let's watch and see.

Lol. I reside in Akwa Ibom.

In the years of Akpabio as governor, many Akwa Ibom sons and daughters were serving as Chefs and House Helps across Nigeria, especially in Lagos.

Is the name Ekaette synonymous with House Helps? It's actually an Akwa Ibom name.

Yet he went ahead to build an International airport, international Stadium, 5 star sheraton hotel, too many dual roads. That's how he took the title of "Uncommon transformer".

Right now, i see thousands of young Akwa Ibomites trooping to the state every year to study for undergraduate degree. And you see them very proud ti represent their state. Unlike days they were timid with inferiority complex and identity of being slavers bay.

Funny enough these infrastructures put in place by Akpabio in what people saw as "coming at the wrong time", is now drawing job openings, companies, sporting competitions, tourism, flexing and identity to Akwa Ibom in these days of Udom tenure.


Make Umahi carry on jare. If he hadn't done these, they'd say he's useless and did nothing. If he had invested in human development, the state will largely be lacking in quality infrastructure and keep being called the "runt of the South East ", he can't do it ALL. He can only select the one which he can do, and do it well and leave the next government to continue from where he stopped.

Governance and government is a continuum something.

Anambra state has the best rural network of roads in Nigeria which helps the economy of the state more than airport.
Enugu International airport is not far from Ebonyi, have good connecting roads between Enugu and Ebonyi without potholes.
Connecting villages is more impactful than these two projects which should for the near future

This state was created out of abia state, look at where they are in terms of development and look at abia state, funny situations, we don't have cargo stations now to talk of airports.
