[b]Zungeru hydropower project is a 700MW hydroelectric [/b]facility being built with Chinese assistance on the upper and middle reaches of Kaduna River in the Niger State of Nigeria.

The Federal Ministry of Power and Steel of Nigeria is the owner and implementing authority of the project.

Estimated to cost $1.3bn, Zungeru is the biggest hydropower project under construction in Nigeria. It is also one of the biggest power projects in Africa.

The Zungeru project is estimated to generate 2.64 billion kWh of electricity a year, which will meet close to 10% of Nigeria’s total domestic energy needs. Apart from electricity generation, the project also intends to provide flood control, irrigation, as well as water supply and fish breeding facilities.

Commissioning of the dam will take place in 2021

Rwanda is ranked ahead of Kenya and they don't have the kind of mordern roads we have in Kenya, see the kind of roads you've been showing us in Logos which has 6× bigger population than Nairobi...

We have such kind of road construction, at the junction of Outering and Thika road, there's nothing so new there

At least you are beginning to understand Nigeria's problem. The biggest problem facing Nigeria is the people are illiterate and cannot think or learn. How do you go and build a dam in the middle of the desert for 700 megawatts when you can build that single in the South West or South South of Nigeria which can deliver 4000 megawatt. Nigeria where to put all their oil refineries in the northern parts of Nigeria where there is no oil now you have to transport the oil more than 400 to 500 km

I am sorry but I can't recall seeing any good roads from your country maybe except one Jonraid has posted and apart from that I haven't seen any that matches that standard.
Pls don't compare kigali to nairobi. From good roads through out the city to, to cleaniness(waste can fixed at all corners of the city ) proper housing unit and almost no slum and of course clean transport system (world class brt) would trump your rubbish anytime anyday

I am sorry but we have more than 15,000mw power project under going construction. Lagos alone is building 3,000mw and once completed in 2022 it will be disconnecting itself from our national grid and even supply neighbouring state like ogun and ibadan

The main focus was Nigeria and Kenya...the same way Rwanda is ahead same way Kenya is ahead of Nigeria... If you can't see any good road from Kenya, what does that make you when your roads are way worse than Kenya's... Just accept Kenya is way ahead of in development.
