Never underestimate the power of transcorp. The stock is just offering us an opportunity to buy low. It will surely pay.

From a result driven perspective(H1 print for the most part)
The great; CAVERTON, FCMB and LAFARGE WAPCO.
The good; MTN, FLOURMILLS(Q1), WEMA, CADBURY, CAP and NESTLE.
The fair (the not-so-good): JULIUS BERGER, GSK, ETI and AFPRUD.
The bad; AIRTEL, UNILEVER, FIDSON, OKOMU, PRESCO(Q1) and UCAP
The UGLY; OANDO, TOTAL and MOBIL .
There are some stocks that will not just fit into the first 3 category but they're just on their own and can deliver, especially when there's bull.
Some of them include transcorp, Unity, Japaul, Chams, etc. grin

There is nothing in transcorp presently that can justify a buy rating.
This however does not mean that the stock cannot rally anytime.

I make exception for the spoilt child called Transcorp tho.

If you are looking to buy based on value,I think his analysis is a good one.
How ever, we know that price appreciation in stock market is not only driving by value, one can as well close one's eye and pick any stock and pronto the price goes up and you will start thinking that value does not matter.

Answering it literally...
Any amount even 10 naira sef provided u can take care of broker commission and fees.

The second question is technical. If I apply the 'scattergun approach' I will say look at the post from OGG on great, good and sorts stocks on July 28th 1:17pm. Furthermore, follow this forum to make an excellent selection from his list (which mostly is based on their financial prints). Most analysis are transient in nature so keep following.

Lastly, no one knows the future of the market except insider traders of course.

Thanks for this. Please, like how much do the broker fee cost and how can one get in contact with them?

And forgive me if the questions seems juvenile

His analysis was a very good one no doubt.
Just saying some doesnt have any 'name' or fall into 'good' category but can still deliver due to favourable sentiments towards them. smiley

Abeg newbies not a buy recommendation in any form o. They are stocks at owners' risks as rightly said by swilo.

Honestly not sure of other brokers. I use meristem (meritrade.com). The X alert has an added 4 naira per slot.

Do u have broker yet?

The commissions in that attached depends on your broker. Some brokers charge lesser. It is as u know a percentage of the cash u put in or wish to pull out.

I doubt. If it gets to 23 I sell sharply. But I doubt. Its clear the amount due to shareholders for the acquisition after deduction of debts, is improving with the passing of each quarter. But e no go reach 25.

Dangflour, wapco, and access bank has been a great relief to my portfolio. But transcorp, fidelity and fcmb keep cutting my gains. This NSE sef, una don dey collaborate with my village pple abi?

Guess Meristem is on a high side for beginner with low capital. Morgan should suit such person.
Btw, are you saying Meristem dont charge SEC fee?

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 29 JULY 2019

We look forward to an interesting week. MSCI list is still static.

The market for the moment is still down, let us curtail our optimism. We still need more buyers in the market.

I remember when a Nigeria Senator (Dino) was returning back to PDP, he was singing "oh my oh, oh my PDP ............." I believe the market may sing for Access Bank again after the 2nd quarter result is out!!! Let us keep our arms folded

Meristem's charges is on the high side. Reason I said a beginner needs to check his/her purse well well before going for them. smiley
Morgan charges 0.875% for purchases and 1.175% for sales - total commission per transaction.....maybe plus newly added vat now.

HOPE FOR BETTER 2ND QUARTER RESULT FOR UACN REDUCED

With the result from CAP, Portpaint and Livestock feeds. Whatever high expectation we have for profit growth from UACN need to be cut down. Although UACN property has a reduced loss, the sky looks cloudy for substantial profit growth for this company.

For me I will avoid this type of company for the moment.

Very true, commission is almost twice what Morgan charges. After 5 failed Jijo, almost 15-20% can be lost to commission alone.

The CSCS fee is not charged but the SEC fee is charged. Although, this is a doc of 3months ago not sure what has changed until I activate another transaction next month or chat them up.

It's actually not extra ordinary. Considering that Q3 will be worse (rainy season). Dangcem may struggle to report YoY growth in bottomline for 2019.
