Victor Osimhen's first press conference as a Lille Player

Osimhen: "I would like to thank the president and the club, Lille is the best club for me to progress, I will try to give the best of myself for the team with a lot of discipline, I will put all my heart and I 'will get there'

"The LOSC project is totally what I was looking for as a young player and I did not hesitate a second to come when I received the offer"

"It's a dream to be here and today I'm proud, I've had some difficult times, whether in Germany or Belgium, but the fact that I worked hard brought me here where I am today "

"Why the #LOSC more than another project?" It's probably the club that suits me the best for the players I'm going to play with. I'm very happy to be here "

Monaco have some injury problem and they have made some decent transfer

With a fit golovin ,experienced fabregas and some new signings like gelson martins they will be competing

How can a useless player scored 11, 12 & 14 goals for a Bundesliga team?

Lille's General Director, Ingla on Osimhen

French (Original tongue): "Victor est un jeune attaquant qui évolue dans un registre de 9, possède des qualités physiques remarquables. J'aimerais le remercier d'avoir choisi le #LOSC, lui qui possédait d'offres offres"

Well, he made the SE squad 7 times and only has 5 games... 2 starts and 3 sub appearances and he scored in none. Even against Tahiti, he flopped. That guy shaa.... Let him ball for Union Berlin in the new bundesliga season first and time will do the rest.

Averageness how? How can you say a player is inconsistent despite the fact that he scored double digit goals consecutively for three seasons in the BUNDESLIGA? That's contrast to inconsistency.

Odion Ighalo was poor at on one in the GWG but today he is AFCON golden boot winner.

As you rightly said, let us see happens this season.

What happened to him last season? How many did he score? And how old is he now that you think his case is akin to Iggy? Iggy struggled for Nigeria in the GWG for years yes... But he was mid-20s at least... Ujah is 29 this October. Remind me how old Iggy is now plss...

Just a few weeks ago, some misguided fellows were berating the French league, saying it was crap and that was why francoAfrican players play there, I knew it was painment bkus Nigerian players were overly outnumbered by the likes of CIV, Mali, Senegal et al, today suddenly the ligue1 is being rated highly because Osimhen just moved there, Awoniyi on the cusp and Onyekuru messed up his chance with moribund Monaco. Unapologetically I call those guilty of this, bunch of shameless hypocrites.

U won't rate him cus he doesn't play in England.

Remove emotive sentiment and look at matters objectively.

I have this proposition which l use regularly, "Better to be a Lion in a lower league and club than an anonymous mouse in a top club and league"

No bias, no sentiment or emotive based preference or otherwise. Just measured objectivity.

The Bundesliga is ranked number four in Europe, that means it's not on the same level as the EPL no debate. Add to that the unique characteristic of the Bundesliga where one club dominates everything for the past decade plus that Is Bayern Munich.

That effectively means there is a big gap between the top team and the next 4/5 teams and an even bigger gap for the next 5/6 Bundesliga teams.

It would be safe to say the Upper 3/4 teams of the Bundesliga may apart from Bayern Munich may not be on par with the Upper half of the EPL. If you consider all Bundesliga teams outside of the top 5/6 are probably on par with the Championship. So that puts player performances in context. Maybe that's why young players unable to get into the first teams of EPL top clubs are thriving and putting in outstanding performances in the Bundesliga. For example Ademola, Jason Sancho, Reiss Nelson, Gnabry, etc, etc.

Now the next question is, how good is Udokhai? is he among the top twenty defenders in the Bundesliga ❓ see ratings below. It doesn't seem so.

https://www.worldfootball.net/marks/bundesliga-2017-2018/filter-abwehr/1/

https://www.fifauteam.com/fifa-19-bundesliga-defenders-guide/

Unless you have information to the contrary we can say he is not one of the top 10 defenders in the Bundesliga.

Now look at Fikayo Tomori arguably the best CB in the Championship. Voted player of the year by Derby County. Now wanted by multiple EPL clubs would definitely be in Chelsea if not for the large squad of current defenders.

So which do you prefer without sentiment the most outstanding defender in the championship or the anonymous Bundesliga defender. An example to consider Balogun leaves Bundesliga and struggled to get games in the EPL.

So that's why l don't rate Uduokhai comparatively to Fikayo Tomori.

This is Nigeria National team and it must be opened to every eligible players.

Rohr will call Ujah ahead of all our strikers in EPL and Ligue 1 if he bangs in goals in the Bundesliga. Except they do well in UEFA Champions before he will reconsider.

All those top 20 defenders in bundesliga in that link you put ,all of them are better than fikayo tomori ,you are just beating around the bush writing long note without making valid point

Fikayo is a championship player and can't be compared to a bundesliga player ok .
