Growing up, I had two adult males in my life. One my biological father (obsessive love there ) & the other one my stepfather (would empty his pockets for me, buy me whatever I want etc ). Both loved me in different ways as already stated & have never laid one finger on me my entire life. Now I'm an adult & because I had not one but two father figures in my life, I have no confusion about how a man is supposed to act. After all, they say a father is every little girl's 1st love. Your relationship with your father in your formative years, will help shape your perception of male/female dynamics when you're much older. Mine is mostly positive & I'll be dammed if I allow someone treat me like trash because the two men that raised me didn't treat me that way. So yeah, every case is different.

100% agreement but the challenge is, any man that cannot measure up with your 'father-figures' may not be acceptable by you hence, you end up looking for an ideal/perfect man like Dad that may never really exist.

I don't want to relive my experiences...crazy sh*t, real crazy sh*t, sometimes I practically avoid women because of those. Yeah I know everyone's different and all but one needs time to process certain experiences in life.

Well that's true. I do have that issue. A different kind of daddy issues lol. However, the topic here is about some guy living his rockstar dreams through me, by beating me like a drum So not going to happen!

This thread remind me of one of my ex girl friend back then. Visited her one evening like that and when i was leaving, she called me by my name and asked me this funny question.....do you love me bla bla bla, i replied yes.....she asked further, what sort of love do you have for me that for once you've never slap me not to talk of beating me.....i replied come again, she said beating is part of love Look at her and asked her to proof it scientifically.. She said forget it but my friend ...... her boyfriend use to beat her even injured her at time, i said pls stop it. I carry okada run go house......Took me time to change her perspective on that.......

I swear women are hard to please and hard to understand.

some women need to differentiate beating from love, I person who loves you will not want to see you go through pain.

I disagree, my friend's boyfriend confided in me that my friend left him because she told him is not man enough and when he asked why, she told him, "you have to beat me, if you love me". There are times, he would apologize, she will say, he apologized arrogantly, when he calls, it ends up in a fight.

I left two relationships because she said if a man truly loves a girl he has to beat her several time because women are like children and the only thing they understand is strong hand,

The second one said her mom said a man that doesn’t beat his woman is not a jealous man therefore he doesn’t love her coz I father beats her mom so she see it as a sign of love.

I Just can’t understand how people would believe been slapped with a slightest provocation shows love, My friend said most women likes been beaten and they require iron/strong-hand, but I believe any woman that can’t think for herself is not worth planning a future with.

I would rather leave a violently disturbed relationship than engage in it, (Although I know women can provoke the hell out of you but if you can’t talk about it, walk away if she continues just leave it’s better than ...)

When you beat your fiancee, it imply that you don't deeply love her and you ain't afraid to loose her, so if the lady in question love you, she will try more to win your heart because deep down in her, she know that all it take to stop you from assulting her is get you to love her back, trust me when you assult a lady that is just tolerating you, she will revenge in ten folds.
