Solo failed bro, that's the truth of it. The success of rogue one made the producers believe there could actually be a star wars story without the Jedi or Sith stealing the show, forgetting that in Rogue One, a Sith stole the show the moment he appeared.

KoiceReloaded, even I screamed and cheered the sith lord at the cinema. grin cheesy
Solo performed badly at the box office because of a boycott by the core Star Wars fans and their disagreement with the direction the producers decided to take the franchise with The Last Jedi movie which was released a few months before Solo.
Solo is actually an exciting and watchable movie with great characters, humour and action.

It's probably one of the best scenes in any star wars movie, period. Magnificient scene. What struck me the most was his casual indifference to the barrage of laser attacks. You could feel the dark force flowing through him, the raw ruthlessness of a sith lord in his prime. What a scene. I cheered too, not gonna lie. grin

Yeah, it's a tragedy.

The Life of Brian

This satirical masterpiece from Monty Python is terribly misunderstood. Some people would swear it's a sacrilegious film that mocks Jesus and christianity, but it couldn't be further from the truth. Monty Python actually went out of their way to be respectful to the character and intent of Jesus, while mocking false prophets, hypocrisy, herd mentality, and tyranny.

Even though I have seen it countless of times, the Biggus Dickus scene never fails to draw a chuckle out of me. It's a comedic masterpiece.

The story behind this scene; They brought in extras to play the guards, and the extras were told that they won't get paid if they so much as crack a smile. Anyhoo, the scene was pure torture for the poor souls... you could see they were trying their damndest not to laugh. grin grin

Just got/kept myself abreast of the latest discord between Marvel studios/Disney & Sony. To be frank, if I were Sony, there's no way in hell am agreeing to that 50-50 profit margin share, even if we are splitting production cost equally.
The best move for Sony would be to stay on their own. Financially, its the best thing for them to do. Come to think of it let's say they agree to that 50-50 profit & production margin percentage, taking Far from Home as a case study, the movie has already grossed about $1.2b with a production cost of $160m. Subtracting the gross profit from the expenses, we are left with a billion dollars + which would be shared equally, 500m apiece. Why should I earn half from my property when I could earn more.

I don't think Sony would ever agree to that percentage Marvel studios/Disney are offering & them backing out is not necessarily a bad decision/idea if you ask me, after all, Venom made $880 million dollars at the box office, so what could possibly go wrong with Spider-Man.

Tbf, Spider-Man: Far From Home was filmed in the Marvel Studio, by Marvel crews, thus, even though I don't agree with their overreaching, I can relate to the sentiments behind it. I mean, they did all the heavy lifting, and at end of the day, Sony on the sidelines took 95% off of their sweat. I guess they try to renegotiate, and Sony told them to take a hike.

Anyhoo, the fans are the real losers here cuz if Sony and Disney failed to agree on a compromise, Sony will have no choice other than to reboot Spider-Man again. I hope it won't come to that.

I am a proud man, who prides himself in research and intelligence. But you computer geeks have shattered my confidence with your terminologies (I mean, what the f4ck is an overclocked 3.45Ghz RAM?). In short, I need your help for a computer issue.

I need a computer for video editing. 4k videos. In short, I need a powerful computer. Funny enough, video editing is like gaming and so, I need a very good computer with memory and good graphics.

Now, i tried searching for laptops but they are very expensive. I would have to buy a $2,000 laptop just to get 16gb ram, 240gb SSD, a good nvidia graphics card (4GB vram) and new generation intel i5 or i7. So, I'm settling for PC. Note that I intend to buy from the UK. Trump deported my connect in America grin

I need your help building a PC worthy of PC masterrace. So here are my questions

1. Are cheap offbrand graphics card any good? eg 4GB Vram Graphics card

2. What intel generation should I buy to handle 4k videos? i7 or 15 3rd gen, 4th gen, 8th gen? AMD?

3. What the heck is Ryzen?

4. Why does every youtuber talk as if everyone has $2,000 to spend on a pc system?

5. Am I going mad? Jesus, I am confused.

Indifference suggest you don't care enough about a thing to bother yourself with it, but since you cared enough about Star Wars to watch it at all, I can only surmise that you nodded off cuz you got bored, which can only mean one thing, you hated it subconsciously, even if your consciousness wasn't aware of it.

Bro, they ought to cast their sentiments aside jare. Come to think of it, Sony incurs all the production cost and at the end of the day, it gives Disney 5% of the profit. 5% of at least 1.2 billion dollars after subtracting production cost of 160-200million dollars, that should be at least 50millon dollars +, isn't it enough for them, would they have asked for more percentage if the movie was a box office bomb. The fact is that Disney is just greedy. They raked billions of dollars in three of their movies(Civil war, Infinity war & Endgame) that featured Sony's spiderman yet Sony didn't get a dime because their agreement stated so, but we didn't seen Sony cry foul about it.
IMO, a reboot wouldn't actually be that bad i.e if both parties fail to reach a compromise. Seeing that Sony has already used Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated movie to introduced the multiverse idea, they can actually work on that idea, seeing that the fans are already ware of the universe & the circumstance with which led to him getting his powers.
The best alternative for Disney will be to buy the spiderman character IP from Sony, but that wouldn't be easy task, seeing that Currently, conservative financial estimates the value of Spider-Man's IP character rights to a near $8 billion dollars, with film rights estimated around $6 billion. Although, the doubling in value of the characters IP and increased value for film rights can only be directly linked to the popularity and success of the MCU and Marvel Studios, reinvigorating interest in Spider-Man.

There is no doubt that Disney is greedy, still, it's within their rights to demand a better deal.

A reboot is bad news for Sony, and for the fans. Fans have threatened to boycott every Spider-Man film if Sony dared press that reset button. Disney have plans for Spider-Man, and if you watch Far From Home, you'll see these plans. Fans have wholeheartedly embraced the direction the Spider-Man franchise is going, and are anticipating Peter Parker to play a major role in MCU phase 5. Therefore, Sony rebooting Spider-Man will not only bin these plans, it will also erase Spider-Man's MCU connection, and he will go from fighting alongside Avengers to battling Venom and Doc Octopus. Quite a downgrade if you ask me. Hardcore fans don't want that, and neither to I. I don't even want to consider it, God forbid.

Also, Spider-Man's franchise has been rebooted so many times that fans yearn for stability. Another reboot will hurt the franchise in more ways than one. Fact is, Sony can't do Spider-Man alone, they need the MCU universe, thus, they need Disney. For the sake of the fans, they should sort out their differences, and put the Spider-Man franchise back on track.

The best alternative is to settle, not to buy. Spending that kind of money is bad for business. It will take Disney at least years 8-10 years to actualize a reasonable profit from the franchise.
