The Dark Knight trilogy has some of the most grounded, realistic, and relatable villains in the history of superhero movies. Their ideologies ain't that batshit when you think about it.

- Ra's al Ghul
- Joker
- Bane
- Harvey Dent
- Scarecrow

All human beings, with no special powers or attributes, that had had to rely on their intelligence, will. perseverance and cunning to bring Gotham to her knees at some point, with Joker and Bane being the ones to create the most havoc. We need more villains like these, villains we can all relate to.
I never liked the batman character until I saw this trilogy, a lot of points can be taken from these movies, but my favorites are how the opening scenes of each movie introduces the Batman, the joker and bane respectively. It was something of an art.

Nah, didn't know that, but I could believe it. MCU main actors are the best paid in Hollywood atm.

Are you sure about that? If I recall the reason there is a different war machine is because of low pay. (though he wasn't a main actor)

Right and wrong. Seems they are all paid poorly starting out.

How old are you? Where were you during the original WB batman animations?

Batman and batman returns wwere very successful movies in the late 80s to early 90s.

Statements like that (in bold) betray a lot of information......

Pls where can I download gone in 60sevs
Kung fury. Actually a very silly movie. Ridiculous in its entirety but that what's makes it so good. 8.5/10.

Not possible:
1. Monopoly laws won't allow.
2. Disney are still trying to recover from Fox's purchase, haven't started reaping the profits and they want to buy another one? Not possible.

In corporate world, nothing is impossible, bro. I remember people saying the same when the rumors of Disney merging with Fox first emerged, and yet, in spite of Monopoly laws and everything, it happened.

That's by the way, anyways. My main point is Disney would sooner merge with Sony than spend billions of dollars on a single franchise. It's just not the way they do business.

For all your talk, you don't know the first batman movie was 1966.

You would also do well to refer him to some of the dc animations

Red hood
Year one
Dark Knight returns

Is he willing to go that far back?
You can see him asking if it's compulsory he sees that of the 80s/90s.

then you should have cut out batman forever and batman and robin

no one who says the MCU is for kids should go near either of those movies with a ten foot pole.
i did enjoy batman forever when i was younger. i wonder if it has aged well. val kilmer certainly didn't cry cry cry

Val Kilmer did batman forever ( with seals kiss from a rose )

Clooney did the very forgettable batman and Robin.

I really dug batman begins. The story was tight, nice back story on how he became who he was, raasalghul was unique, everything was just good

Lovely. I agree this is the best batman out of them all.

I watched the first batman ( keaton) with the joker. It was a movie made for kids. Joker really was a clown. Remember superman how childish it would appear now.

As I said before the generation who grew up with that movie is ready to swallow the reality of violence by these characters hence the remakes.

that is where you have missed it. not everyone has the time to go through 10 movies.

the first hulk movie is technically part of the MCU. let someone who has never watched an MCU movie start with that. that is where it may end.

It's Batman Forever. Jim Carrey played the Riddler in it, and Nicole Kidman the love interest of Bruce Wayne.

Anachronism.

A lot of people here really need to understand this word. Many of you are using today's (2019) lens to view and judge a movie that is 30byears old.

When you watch a film that is both old and a classic, you'd have to understand the state of cinema at the film's time of release.

I swear, philosophy needs to be taught in Nigerian schools.

My God, you're right. Val Kilmer does look like a grandpa nowadays. The guy is only two years older than Tom Cruise, but put them side by side, and you'd think he's Cruises' father. Guy needs a better plastic surgeon.

You just like argument sha.
Perhaps you get orgasms from it.
You've been looking for an opportunity to start one.
I just handed it to you.
Let me take it back.

Firstly, did I put a gun to his head that he must take my recommendation? For Bleep sake, he's an adult and can check what other folks are saying online/offline before making a choice.

Besides, Batman and Batman Returns are not bad films: might be a little outdated for him, but not bad.
You can disagree on that: at least that's what me and some other folks think

Finally, consider individual choices in film: he might prefer the dark gothic nature of the first two films or the campy cartoonish style of the next two.
Since you don't know his taste, then you're in no position to say I'm recommending a bad movie for him.
All he wanted to know were available Batman films.

But this Ornicus dude, you be snake sha.
You picked out my comment and started with friendly back and forth banter waiting for the right moment to strike.

Bravo!
The petty nature still rules.
Pheww!

that is why they talk about films\tv shows\books\songs etc ageing well

that is also the danger of special effects that are not practical effects

it is also the danger of making a movie that does not have a real story in it.

i still love rambo 2 to this day, but i know it is an imperialist bs gun fantasy

when i was younger and america was able to sell the idea of a binary world where they were the good guys and good guys always win and the bad guys are inept cartoon villains, that movie rocked.

today it looks stupid, even more so to anyone who understand that the vietcong kicked americas ass throughly , that americans are no slouches in advanced interrogation techniques, and that there are no superhuman soldiers

the last rambo movie is actually an antiwar movie as far as i'm concerned [ stallone crammd all the vil shit that goes on in war into the movie runtime]
