Abacha was not one of my top leaders, but he would have done something to immediately stop this madness.
I’m starting to despise Buhari and his severely incompetent administration...How many Nigerians this block head president is waiting to be killed before a solid action is taken against SA?

If our government doesn’t step up and protect the lives of Nigerians, nobody will respect us.

Where is Tinubu?
Where is Ooni of Ife?
Where is Osinbajo?
Where are all these kings?

Talk is cheap, I want to see all leaders from all angles in Nigeria to raise their voices and do something about these animals, called South Africans...

Hmmm!

Everything would have turned to a bloody war, he'd sent a strong message to everyone that Nigeria is not a country to mess with. He'd have sent to SA, the head of SA ambassador in a box. He'd have done so many unthinkable stuffs to S'Africans here.

The truth is Abacha may have been a dictator but he would have never been so quiet like one impostor we have now.

Bloody war because South Africa is also a tiny country with a ragtag military like Sierra Leone or Liberia?
You better wake up from your daydreaming.

I don't know who the blazes this dude is but I give him credit for remembering the late great Abacha...a great leader demonized by the South West media rags on behalf of Nadeco.

He was 6 years old when Abacha died, so I doubt that his recollection is his. And it wasn't the South West media that killed Ken Saro Wiwa, Pa Alfred Rewane or Kudirat Abiola.

Sure thing

late General Sani Abacha na action man unlike Buhari who is also a RTD General but I wonder where he got his own rank from....cos he doesn't act like one.

God will surely make a way for us.

South Africans can never stop us.

Jonathan was not considered an action man. In fact barawo bubu and his fellow APC crooks called him clueless but he made the South Africans beg us publicly.
Have you heard that sense is better than brutish power? That is why an executive controls labourers.

South Africa apologies to Nigeria over yellow fever row
8 March 2012

South Africa has apologised for the deportation last week of 125 Nigerians over suspicions that their yellow fever certificates were fake.

The action quickly turned into a diplomatic spat - with Nigeria refusing South Africans entry and the foreign minister branding Pretoria xenophobic.

South Africa has rejected that claim - and promised new procedures to avoid a repeat of the "regrettable incident".

At one stage Nigerian carrier, Arik Air, suspended flights to South Africa.

Yellow fever is spread through infected mosquitoes and has a wide array of symptoms from nausea and vomiting to kidney failure, jaundice and bleeding.

According to the UN World Health Organization, about half those who develop severe symptoms of the haemorrhagic illness and are untreated die from the disease - about 30,000 people each year worldwide.

'Regrettable incident'
"We wish to humbly apologise to them, and we have," South Africa's Deputy Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ibrahim said.

"We are apologising because we deported a number of people who should not have been deported," Mr Ibrahim said - adding that he does not expect an apology from Nigeria for the tit-for-tat deportations of South African nationals.

He blamed airport authorities for what a joint statement with Nigeria described as a "regrettable incident which the South African government believes could have been handled better".

The Nigerians were turned away on 2 March because the yellow fever certificates were not check properly, according to the deputy minister.

South Africa is considering reopening a travel clinic at Johannesburg's airport - so that travellers without a yellow fever certificate can be vaccinated on arrival rather than deported.

And from now on, mass deportations will need the permission of foreign ministry officials, the deputy minister said.

On Tuesday, Olugbenga Ashiru, Nigeria's foreign minister, said the deportations was evidence of xenophobia.

"What you see playing out is what we call xenophobia by South Africans against all Africans - not just Nigerians," AFP news agency reported him as saying.

In 2008, South Africa saw a wave of xenophobic violence which shocked the nation and shook up the world's view of the "rainbow nation".

Mr Ibrahim said on Thursday that South Africa is not a xenophobic country.

The two countries say the yellow fever row will not undermine bilateral relations - and they are moving to strengthening them.

Nigeria is one of the biggest markets for South Africa's MTN mobile phone operator, while retailer Shoprite and Standard Bank also have profitable operations there.

To be frank, Gen. Sani Abacha is one of the greatest leaders Nigeria have ever had. the records are there apart from stealing of money(which have not been proof) there are other good things has done in Nigeria to improve the lives of Nigerians.

Most Nigerian don't even know the real truth about abacha we just listing to what some people are saying then we believe without been free to the validated measures via any forms of established fact and figures, they told Nigerian that the man is corrupt, pre-abacha, during and post-abacha economy records are there to be compared some of his action might look radical but is more rejuvenated and serious minded than the before and afterwards of his reign.

Nobody is talking about war and most of the points there only indicate seriousness and nationalistic concern. Some of these have worked in the past , and war did not breakout.

Even during the Buhari Military Regime when the Nigeria Airways Plane carrying Umaru Dikko in box was detained by the British at Stansted Aiport the Nigerian Air Force was ordered to chase and bring back the British Airways ( British Caledonian) passenger plane that had just left lagos. The Nigerian air force planes went after it and forced the plane to return and land in lagos.

The negotiations after that were fast and matter resolved. Remember also in the same episode three British engineers were inprisoned in Nigeria in retaliation for the Nigerian security officers inprisoned in the UK. Buhari May have forgotten, but he did all that.

SA would have carried out a naval blockade of Nigeria! They have a better navy!
They have a submarine.
But that is the extents of their advantage. If it comes to war, Nigeria would buy submarines from France or Germany.

Nigeria has better ships which we recently bought.

Typical Nigerian! They forget so easily and try to romanticize tyranny. The same Abacha that Nigerians rejoiced over his death. Tomorrow, these same people with selective memories will hail The same Buhari they are castigating.

ArmaniUhuru:
Solutions to Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa:

1.Expel South African Ambassador.

2.Recall Nigeria High commissioner to South Africa.

3.Stop repatriation of profits/ Funds to South Africa by MTN,STANBIC, SHOPRITE and other South African business concern in Nigeria.

4..Suspend landing right granted South Africa Airways to Lagos and Abuja.

5.Stop all importations coming from South Africa.

6.Suspend consular/immigration service's to all South Africans living in Nigeria.

I can bet with my life that Ramaphosa or whatever their President is called will be here within one week and when he comes make him sign a treaty before all those are restored.

Nigeria needs to start wielding that super power,we are not big for nothing,we have all it takes to deal with countries like theirs.

God bless you for this exactly what is on my mind.

Young Nigerians who praise Abacha shows the ignorance of history in Nigeria. The same reason they trooped out to vote Buhari not once but twice even after his woeful performance more than thirty years ago.

Abacha was a despot who purloined the country's wealth to an extent his wife said "they cannot be poor as Dangote". This is the same person young Nigerians are wishing for? Well, they got his incarnate - former head of PTDF under Abacha's regime.

There are too many illiterates in Nigeria, including this Skibii or whatever he calls himself.

There is a clear difference between a military regime and a civilian dispensation.

When Buhari was head of state, he would also have dealt with South Africa in no small ways. But there are limits to what he can do now as a democratic leader.
