You deserve a prize from Benz for the free ads.
If you don't mind, like how much can one get tokunbo of this please?

Ranging from 1.5m to 1.8m for 05/06 1.3m for 03/04 C class all depends on your negotiation skills. But I will always recommend 05/06 (fuel economy technology) non 4matic it is way cheaper to maintain than the 4matic I use. However 4matic feels better to drive as it feels you driving SUV 4WD with a saloon body trim.

What is wrong with benz for this Job. Back I the days na regular full taxi business. Uber just make Toyota cost you can get a C class 05 almost half of what you would pay for a Corolla. Fuel consumption is not as what ppl think, maybe for the older models and caburator engines but from 2005 upward fuel economy is superb. Despite using a 3.2L 6cylinder 12plugs C class for this hustle fuel has never been my concern. I dey use like 3k fuel almost full day. And seeing riders jaw drop dey give me joy plus the way they behave to me dey just respect them self when they see Benz cos dem know say I nor be regular. cool

Even the parts are not expensive e full ladipo/trinity and alagunta for alimosho looking for who will patronize. One thing about these cars is if you change one thing just dont worry about it for the next 2 to 3years.

Since I bought my C class 4matic next month will make it one year na only front break pads 4k and rear right shocks 5k and auxiliary 30k I don replace for the moto.

How can I use almost 2.3m to buy this mass production cars called Corolla And then everybody go just know say na uber on seeing you pull over.

Places where I fit enter park them dey pursue Corolla users as they dont allow uber drivers to park I always see the drama and just laugh. Nigerians judge by what you own. Them go they cut cap for me saying boss anything for me? Not knowing say na hustle I dey. The one wey dey sweet me pass na airport work grin

In a nut shell many other cars are suitable for this hustle Peugeot 206 very light engine. Peugeot 406 fuel economy is fantastic. Make we free toyota small abeg Japan don chop belleful from Nigerians

What make of Benz do you use?

NEVER EVER park on those two zebra crossings at MM2, even if there's traffic and that's the only free slot, it's free for a reason... if they see you they'll come for you...
NEVER EVER stop anywhere along airport road. MMIA, MM2 or GAT, NEVER.
NEVER EVER wait for your rider at the pick up point, if rider isn't out when you get there, rollout and keep rolling till you confirm the rider is out and ready to go, MMIA, MM2 or GAT.
At MMIA Only pick up at arrival pickup point, do not pick up at departure o... You'll be fine.

Only pick up riders at the designated arrival pickup points and make it fast, you'll be fine.
OR
Rider meets you at the car car park, quite unnecessary though, I've never picked up at the car park.

Sometime last year, I got a request one night from MMIA, was surprised cos I wasn't within the airport premises I was driving along airport near Beesam.
Called rider in my very English speaking font...
Nice sounding chic says meet me at departure, I say departure, not arrival?
She says yes
I say could you please come to arrival pickup, we are not allowed to pick riders at departure.
She says come, you can pick me at departure
I say nahh, I can't do that
She says I said you can, you don't have a problem
I said are you sure
Babe said, do I sound like I'm not sure?
This bit scattered my head, I thought oh Ogun protect me but I must see this babe... Anything wey wan happen make e happen...I'm a sucker for a confident woman wink
Na so I blow reach there, my eyes are darting about like a bush rat's...
Called here again, she says drive up, you'll see me standing with a policeman
I said ok, but I no end call o, left it on so I can hear any background chatter, nothing.
Rolled up and picked her... Cool chic, turns out she be uber staff, we chatted all the way to ogudu, that day I learned that uber was in talks with Edo state. Tipped 1k at the end of the ride, card trip.

Basically follow the rules and you'll be fine, 98% of riders won't want to meet you at the car park, but it's not a problem. Follow the rules
Thanks.Boss. This is a real walk through.

Don't park on the road while waiting for rider, dia is always a car park space in almost every company, if the place is filled up, just use ur discretion, it's not a must to pick all rider.

That's an exceptional rider. I always get terrible riders. Makes me wonder if it's a societal curse, like seriously, Nigerians are this way? Doing 100 on third mainland bridge and a rider was yelling that "you are not speeding, look at other cars passing" I marveled and was speechless. This had happened not once or twice. I have also been in situations in traffic jams where these riders will be screaming for you not to allow another car come in front of you. I always wonder and fear for this country where majority have a really crude and obscure mentality. What example are these supposed parents setting for their kids? I always wonder. Doing Uber has been the first time I'm serving the public to a large extent outside of my 9-5 job and it has been a shocker, the mentality out there.
most of them feel they pay more if u not driving at high speed. I don’t listen to them. I don’t exceed 100 on 3rd mainland bridge. I hate the way most Uber/bolt driver drives. Are they trying to impress someone u might possibly not see again in d rest of ur life. After the trip that’s d end, u guys possibly won’t meet again. The way Corolla and Camry gang drives with heavy speed make me marvel.

The worst mistake someone could do on this job is to please everyone even when the risk is there just for rating. You as the driver bears the capital risk, whether on rentals or owner.if anything happens to the car youll be left alone to suffer in your world.set your standard and be proffessional. Once a rider tries to be foolish on your hard earned investment (car) ,put the person to where he/she belongs.all the times ive been on road crashes, or problem. all that this insatiable humans we call riders can do is to ask me cancel trip so they can enter another one, that theyre late to where theyre going to. Thats all. You cant dispute it .they have no business with you again. So why would you allow someone just because he/she could afford bolt/uber enslaving fare to destroy your life or plung you to more miserable life and problems..i cant go more than 60-70 on 3rdM Bridge, even when i had no rider. My fellow pilots, your job is to take them to their destination, non of them worth your death or your car been destroyed. Always remember speed is at your own risk. Any of your tire can burst or pull over and its usually 90% fatality.you can see an accident on a free road, if only the driver was alive to tell people that he lost control through the tires, buh no !all we could see is chattered nd destroyed car nd dead man.and it has no other name than accident and RIP. dead man tell no tale. Ive seen things on this hustle, once a rider request a rough drive or speed more than i could go, ill first ask him/her .IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THIS CAR WHAT WILL YOU DO. request another?. As of today non of them has ever answered me.theyll just got muted, as if there senses came back. Be careful on the road guys. No body prays to finish his hustle on panel beater nd painters office because of some riders that havent bought car tires before....

Some drivers are just been foolish. Rider will ask you to speed up considering their small fare price without your part been considered also. .youll go and incure damage to your car just for their #50 -100 fare difference...

Actually, some reckless driving might not be influenced by riders. Some people feel, maybe less perfect drivers, when they are overtaken on the road. I don't know the fuss about being overtaken. I have a brother, not a uber driver, that always doesn't want cars to overtake him on the road, as if he feels his car isn't good enough or he's not a better driver.

Let's be moderate in everything and know that being overtaken doesn't mean your car is less standard, you just choose not to risk your life to overspeeding..

Experience or good driver is not even known by speed but by accuracy and maturity on the road when you maneuver or give way to other road users. Even learners can speed!

Please what else can I do to these corolla.

When I collected it, it was not firing well, when am accelerating it it struggle to move, first we thought maybe water entered it or something. Our assumption was wrong, we paid dearly for the assumption, because it consumed fuel like a V8 engine. I had to take it back to my partner and told him we assumed wrongly. Fast forward we ended up changing the whole plugs, coils and even serviced the nozzles/injector..that miss firing sound stopped, the shaking of the engine stopped...i I took it back but it's not up to 14days and I have noticed the miss firing again..

Also the coro fuel consumption am still wondering.... 3k fuel does 160km, when on average 1k should be 82Km.

Thou before taking it back to my partners and his mechanic-i took it to one mechanic I know that's very good, to help service the nozzles, he asked me to put on the car and he said its not a mechanical problem that's it's electrical problem, that I should go to a rewire(electrician)......so u went back to my partner mechanic ask him to call his rewire to scan, according to the mechanic and my partner he said they scanned and it showed or pointed them towards servicing the nozzles...

Now the same problem is back, please has anyone experience such?

From Uber's advert the emphasis is on Safety, so they would expect you to consider the safety of your rider and yourself as paramount.

safety first.its pretty much more difficult to control a car on high speed irrespective of its braking capabilities.struggliing with the steering wheel in crisis situation can take half your life . if anything happens to you cause you want to eat up the road, the road will still remain, but can't say much about you.
drive defensively, you have nothing to lose but accidents cool
