Batman is a brooding character, one of the hardest characteristics for an actor to portray excellently. Spider-Man is optimistic and friendly which is easy because actors are meant to be easy going. Making Spider-Man an easy to adapt character.

Batman is no comic book character mate except Superman. He has been in the business for so long, coupled with some excellent movies and the facts that he is most fan favorite superhero shouldn't be any surprise his worst comics would still do well.
