I've seen Unbroken, By the Sea, A Place in Time, and In The Land of Blood and Honey.

Funnily enough, In The Land of Blood and Honey is another typical example of a good story pummeled by mediocre-esque directing.

I haven't seen First They Came For My Father, but I've heard of it. I reckon it won't be very different from her antecedents. Could be wrong though.

her acting is even questionable. She isn't so decent at it. But I don't think Unbroken was that bad. It only seemed rush with cheap CGIs

Joaquin Phoenix's acting was clearly special. It clearly showed a lot of dedication and hardwork towards the character. The tragedy was compelling and the message about mental illness is clear.

The overall rating might be subjective. However, the movie is objectively not boring. It would be like arguing that inception is not an intelligent film.

I'm sorry, if you find joker 2019 to be boring or overrated (note that the film faced a lot if criticism), you clearly have a bad taste in movies. Period.

There will always be people who want to feel special by irrationally going against public consensus just for its sake. There are people who dislike avengers movies. Those people are nothing but trolls and flat earth level losers.

Nollywood and Bollywood have nothing to do with anyone's taste in movies. And not liking Joker doesn't mean they have bad taste in movies or have been brainwashed.

Never said Unbroken was a bad film. With a half decent director that know their onions, I'm certain the end product would have been a well rounded flick. The story was compelling.

Angelina Jolie is a good actress IMO, perhaps not what you would call a raw talent, but good enough.

1. People who have nollywood as their main genre of movies tend to favour movies with simplistic plots and overacting. Drama. That same logic works with people that seriously watch reality tv, they tend to be less intelligent.

2. Not liking joker is not the problem. The problem is the reason for not liking it and how it is expressed.

I dont like romance movies because I am not romantic as a personal bias. However, I will still applaud a good romance film. I did not like 500 days of summer but I will always point out that it was a good movie.

Now, the people saying that the joker is boring or overrated cannot get out of their own personal bias. You might not like the joker but dont bring it down based solely on your own bias.

no point in any quasi intellectual superiority complex.

one could also say that watching movies is just a from of escapism for weak minded people who want to un tether from their reality
