They do that in Hollywood and orange county all the time, white collar thieves use it to steal highly sophisticated and expensive vehicles, move it out of the location and vandalise them for parts. And most times this takes place at night when the owners would be asleep. The vehicles are mostly found a few hours later but highly vandalised of vital and expensive parts that the thieves would go and resell in black markets.

Americans have great hackers and programmers, they lead in software aspect,
but china rules in the world of hardware technology
The truth is without software, most hardware won't function well or even work.

This will only work if the thief knows exactly where you hanged your keys and he is within the operating distance of the fob which is quite small.
I guess a solution is to always keep your fob away from outside facing walls and windows and probably buy some sort of radio shield.

This is a problem for push to start vehicles.
A huge problem. I have read about tbis, about the equipment they use to get the code and then reuse after the owner has gone. Omo thieves don up their game.

It's not a new thing. They've have been using this trick more than 15 years, that's how they stole Anthony Joshua's range rover

Anything electronic is UNSAFE.
Bank account, Computer Data of any kind, simcards, every Electronic you own....
Everything electronic is unsafe. Somebody can hack it and you won't even be aware till it's all gone.

I hope this world can reset back to manual and analogue technology.

I came across this and it seemed very interesting.

I understand this can start the vehicle. How do they now drive it away? The Fob has to remain in close proximity of the vehicle for it to continue running, no?

The device is like 20 pounds, that's what they used to steal Anthony Joshua's Range Rover.

That's how cyber thieves stole my N20 billion from my account, and the Maybach limousine that I haven't bought yet.
