Do your maths well, higher purchase of 2.5M for a tokunbo car valued at 1.9M is 30% profit, and that’s in 18 months, the minimum interest bank will give you on loan at 15% in 1 year and that implies 22.5% in 18 months

which maths r we talking here?

This is arithmetic!

First , guys DT sell corrola @ 1.9m still make decent profit.

Is d landing cost 1.9m? No, I don't think so, so y r you posting 30% ROI.

Not here to burst your bubble.

In BTW: I hope d funds used to purchase cars r also not borrowed, cos e - hailing biz is not predictable, Even Bolt n Uber are aware that dis December, The Chinese are going to have a fair slice of their profit's.

What killed the offer was the down payment?

250k is a lot of money. On a normal day n strictly on ehailing, it wud take you over 2 months to save that. Assuming the car is yours.

And y r u doing a hire purchase @ 2.6m. D offer shd b queried cos you r acting like the typical Nigerian bizman who wants to make over 50% return on a vehicle.

In BTW: are you sure dy r tokunbo vehicles, like straight from the port n not refurbished?

Your conditions r quite stringent I must confess

Lol!
Him don reduce the down payment to 250k cheesy
Don't worry b4 tomorrow it'll probably be 50k down payment!
Mk him open him Bolt app now weda him no go see like 7 cars on standby waiting for passengers.. U think its only ur 10cars that'll operate in lagos so dey can comfortably gv u 160k monthly sad

The fight with Ocar have officially began.

Bolt is feeling the heat. There is no company that abruptly changes strategy.

Without your tools ( drivers), you are just a company with a software.

I told the ocar guy who was manually recruiting drivers where they parked.

The secret to bump into a market highly dominated by giants is simple.

Get the drivers ( their tools). Of course you won't forget riders, but pay more attention to the tools.

Of recent, you can see surges displaying even in the most unexpected places on bolt.

I'm also a driver, if normal weekly delivery is 30k, so much much do you expect higher purchase to be, then check out how much they are giving it out on higher purchase for tokunbo, some people even give out Nigerian used for 2.7M higher purchase
Higher purchase is always 35k which is still beat down to 30k and it's always totaled for 2.7 to 3.2million...
Payment 2years... Better comfortable price for down payment is 100k to 150k

Profits on Corolla for car dealers is very low, it’s ususlly between 100k and 200k, you can ask any car dealer let me give you a breakdown
Ground transportation from point of sale to exit port in the USA is between $300 and $500, shipping is $1200, custom clearing is N450k, approx $1700 + N450, that’s N612k + N450k, that’s approx N1.1M only for shipping and clearing alone and the amount the car was bought in the US not included cos sale prices varies, in short landing cost for Corolla is between N1.7M and N1.9M and you will have to wait for 2 months from the time you purchased it in the US to the time it lands in Nigeria, and you know time is an important factor in calculating interest so it’s better to buy it here than waiting for 2 months just because of N100k to N200k difference,

The company is doing it at 2.5M that’s about 700k difference to 3.2M I could also feed the company to do for 2 years(24 months) but they have the final say, I think they are looking at 18 months max

Lol... E don happen o.

She booked a ride(She's in Chevron Drive). Asked me to pick some one at Cooker Bus stop Iju (Mainland). Picked the guy apparently her brother in-law.

Got to destination and Bolt decided to show itself and showed us 600 naira against the actual fare. Told the young man this can't be correct and he concurred. I didn't collect the 600 and told him I will send him the fare after review. Be accepted and asked I save the sister in-laws number be cause (Airtel is shit around there) and he can't make transfer so the sister in-laws will pay while he refund to her.

After 3 hrs review came and it was 4900. Called sister in-law, she picked and was not saying anything till I explained and she said hold on. I did and after 10mins I called and she won't answer no more. Called the young man. He's phone not reachable.

Abeg here is the sister's in-law number 09022245146 her name is chioma.

09017714097 The young man number.

Abeg help me beg them. Na my Christmas fowl money be that.

More than 60 calls and she's not picking.

Well you are right to some extent cos we all have different appetite, Dangote is still working hard as if he has nothing, whereas some have very little and already feeling relaxed, some active bricklayers are landlords if you don’t know

A lot of trucks bearing the " Dangote" insignia do not belong to the Dangote group.
Its a branding strategy, the truck operators are assured of of minimum downtime on their equipment all year round.and prompt dispatch contracts all year round.

Bricklayers run a service /sell their expertise. Its quite different from lease operators.

You should know better if you r truly a e- driver.
If you had 4 cars on e hailing , wud you go for a hire- purchase.to expand ur fleet?

Good luck to you and the company

If I may ask, was it the company that reviewed the downpayment from earlier 350k to 250k and also the weekly remittance from 40k to 30k?

I’m just doing survey for the company and I’m not the only one doing it, we don’t even know the company’s terms yet, the company will come up with their terms after checking all our feedbacks

A lot of drivers must have lost a lot due to this act by riders. Bolt should find a way to address this. I really don't understand how humans will comfortably sit at the owner corner of a car when they know they have no money to pay for d ride. Imagine a guy a lady has been promising to send just 1600 naira for over how many days now. I don't know if it is a deliberate act or they really don't have the money, but it is quite absurd

I don't think sopcla's ad is slavery. We could argue with the 40k remit and 350k, but after the review to 30k and 250k down payment, I think 2.5m HP is fair for 2005-2007 corolla
