But I'm sure a Super Amoled would have bested the washed out display on the k30.

that's why we have 2 Samsung a10s threads with over 8pages... and its problem still haven't been fixed(we are still waiting for system update from Samsung) grin

MTK processors are shitty

Same issue with the best MTK on the Note 8 pro. With the overheating issue

If you will put aside the fact that I like Samsung

You will also testify to the fact that K30 has a poor screen quality from the pictures.

And the cut out along the lines of the punch hole also indicates so

what note 8 pro?

MTK processors are not all shitty, they've just been developer unfriendly due to the fact that finding complete kernel sources has been rare.

And complete Kernel sources were dumped for the RN8 pro (https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-note-8-pro-custom-rom-kernel-developers/)

Take note also of where the RN8 pro ...sprinted through maxed-out gaming sessions with very good efficiency, good heat dissipation, and no signs of thermal throttling

overheating issues....... with that dedicated heatsink over the cpu......... that thing was designed to run cool

You cant compare

The helio P22 the octacore processor on the A10 to that on the R6

This is the same processor that Transsion devices keep recycling in the Camon series Hot series , etc for exorbitant prices. And the processor on the A10 is far more superior to it

Correct me if I'm wrong

Everyone before you came had already admitted that the display is not as expected. I did take notice of meshachmartins argument . That it may be superior LCD but it's still not up to a Super Amoled screen. And for the love of 5G it wouldn't have cost much to implement the Amoled screen

Mine does not overheat, so it is not a general problem, and frankly, when you run benchmarks on the internals you'll discover that the temperature on the chip is usually 3 - 5 degrees lower than the back of the phone (that heat pipe does its Job well, like heatsinks on PCs)

The hottest my CPU has run is 49 degrees, after hours of surfing/gaming on a hot day.....
That falls within the normal range of mobile processors (40 - 50 degrees)

bear in mind that all 8 cores are unthrottled when you do anything tasking on the processor.

Now even if 50,000 units of the RN8 pro are actually overheating, that is still an acceptable rate of failure for a mass produced electronic product

I wanted two instead of one

And A50 was within my budget

I got what I wanted, the display on my phone is better than most LCD.

What you fail to acknowledge is that oneplus don't use midrange SOCs on their devices. This is a mid-ranger, if u want great specs at a very good price, you will definitely find one in the mi flagship series. The fault lies with users who set themselves up for disappointment by thinking an OEM should price products based on their budget. grin
Lol I hear you
