Guy did I ask you for a rental? Or when was the last you read a post from me stating I’m still in need of a car? If you or any other person need information weather I have gotten one or not simply ask me directly instead of you coming through the kitchen door to seek information.

If my comments like you pointed can/will scare away potential partner what’s your business about that? Must I agree with everybody on everything or will everyone like me?

People like you and that big for nothing that thinks he has wisdom are the type that judge a book from its cover.

If that id0t sees me In person I’m very confident he’ll wee in his pants.

If someone don’t have something reasonable to post let them simply observe and read other people’s comments instead of displaying like kids asking stupid questions they already have an answer to.

Social media is not for people that can’t take criticism else it will destroy once life and reputation.

Apologise brother.

don't justify your wrong use of words.

I'm sure 9 out of 10 partners when faced wt such a dilemma will have taken dapotemi's approach.

The surge helps increase earnings without too much toil on the road.

Surge trips are golden moments for every driver. It can't be ignored.

You see why we don't have to make enemies here, this faceless forum knows how to bring out who we really are that sometimes surprises us.
Anyway I used my EOD for this hustle for three months last year when I was jobless and I know what I saw with repairs before disposing it for my current corolla 09.
Goodluck in your hustles till you find your feet back in your IT/telecom sector.
I don’t make enemies and even if I do maybe offend someone and my conscience condemn me I don’t feel too big, arrogant or stupid to accept my mistakes then I go to the person an tender a sincere apology.

Nobody is above mistake or correction and that includes me.

Anyways, thanks for the advice baba I really appreciate

I am really dissapointed that "supposedly" matured and "married" individuals come online to display themselves every other day

To what end?

Very disappointing.

Read the two meanings of the word “greedy” in the attachment within.

Even if I didn’t go to Harvard University or Oxford at least I can still prove that he @dapotemi is a greedy person. Or you think leaving the money for the scammer rider therefore means he’s ascetic? What if it where a bolt trip?
Ok do you know this same rider will carry out the same act the next time with another driver? Even with the same app? Or if he can’t make a request with his own detail he can get someone else to make a request for him? Then the trend continues and maybe if Uber finally blocks him he take the same xter to bolt and one day we will see how a driver is fighting with a rider on the street.

A wish goes like this, “blame everybody who lives around the house that burnt to ashes even the passers by.” The reason is, what did you do when you first saw the smoke or the fire? Did you just keep quiet or stand with two hands fold or just walk pass?

That word greed does not qualify for what happened bro. The words that qualify are “scale of preference” and “opportunity cost”.

Scale of preference means ranking one’s need in order of importance.

Opportunity cost means forgoing something for another( perceived greater importance)

In his scale of preference, the 3.0 surge was ranked higher than the 800(400) trip he just concluded and rider is being dubious, hence no need hounding for that plus it’s uber so no issues.

Forgoing the 800 trip for a better trip with a 3.0 surge is the opportunity cost.

Do I even make sense?

You're right bro.

He didn't even forgo the 800 trip per say because he had already completed the task and was in positon to take another request. It is the dubious rider that is the problem.

To everyone I understand your points. But if you look really deep to understand the word “greed” you would understand its not an offensive word or a word that means insult. So I wonder why somebody should blow out because a word of such was used to deacribe h/h.

In any case apologies to you @dapotemi you took my word out of context and then started with insults and making a mess of yourself.
Even when I still advise you to report the case you didn’t c that part to know I meant no insult?

Anyways, sorry no vex. But just admit you are greedy and not just you because at some point we all can be greedy as well. gringrin

Today was sweet and crazy.

Sweet: earnings made sense.
Crazy: I was to pick up a rider in an highbrow estate in lekki. This Overzealous security was definitely on his period cos he was so rude and arrogant.

I reach gate and parked by visitors parking. I called rider and she called the gate. Na so the security dey do "open your booth" I saw the way he slammed the uber driver infront of me. I warned him when he was coming for mine not to bang the booth.

The guy banged the booth I heard (broken sound). The speed I take come down.. even Usain bolt go fear.

2secs everywhere burst. I wanted to slap him but I changed it to blow.. next thing the guy fall.. see blood like Tap. To cut the long story I no fit ask for money for repair of the booth, the guy sef no fit ask me for hospital money.

My rider gave me rope to tie my booth.

Morale of the story: anger no good..what if the guy die?

Chai!

Greed would be him canceling all other requests that is not 3.0 surge or something and not wanting to rest i.e pursing surge/money.

I don't accept any request less than 2.0X when am in a sojified area.

Can't be seeing 3.2X all over me and am accepting 1.2X surge.

What can I do like dis oo

djwdiamond:
I accepted all 26 request that came through. Even the ones that rider cancelled I accepted all. This acceptance rate has been on 94% since I completed 10 trips, now I've done 16 trips extra but it's still on 94%. When it's 9pm now they will cancel it and tell me that I didn't complete the campaign. Same thing they did last week and didn't give the 4K after all the works. Taxify/Bolt promotions are scams!

I hope you were able to secure the bag.

What we can always do when faced with such issue (of lower acceptance rate) is to calculate how many more trips one needs to accept to get the bonus.

For instance, if you missed 2 trips and your acceptance rate is 93%, all you need to do is to calculate if you need to accept 10 rides more (with having to complete few more trips if you need more) to meet up with acceptance rate.

I hope you know how to calculate the %

Have you factor in the time the said bonus would lapse?

Please I need help

My 2003 Corolla is having gear issues it's automatic .. once u move it moves normally and when it enters gear 2 and 3 ..it won't move well again even if u pedal down ..it won't take off like it should especially when u are uphill .. when in a sloppy area. It moves faster but still not the way it should move...

Is it the gear? If I have to buy another gear, like how much does it cost?

Awaiting your replies. Thanks

Nice approach there bro, but if you’d left them to go maybe because you got a request of what ever surge/soji, how about you encounter a bigger problem with the new rider probably because of the soji and the rider also refused to pay. And the trend goes on and on simply because of high surge request. At the end of the day don’t you think you could be ban or even worst encounter a big problem?

Surge will come and go but d work will still remain. besides you’ve 7days to raise money for your partner so dont let anybody deceive you that it only soji that will help you complete your weekly payment, ok, if soji no dey you no go complete your weekly payment abi?

That guy is greedy abeg let’s tell ourselves the truth. Such greed will make one run into trouble they never bargain for.

Boss I can read through and see d matter has been settled, we just need to tolerate each other more like one house

You have the tools in ya hands na. Shebi in this case, it is only to accept and not necessarily complete any trips. If you have two smart phones, just request with one as a rider and accept with the other and keep cancelling as a rider and hope 1 or 2 riders do same or approach a driver to help out too!

Although, better to do it in between trips when one is still completing trips in order not to make them suspect foul play
