Most Igbo girls consider Igbo language mgbekeish...they give their children white names out of inferiority complex and never speak our language. This is the reason why I push for a strong consciousness of our various sub tribes.

Most Igbo women married to Yoruba have no respect for Igbo culture...if you say to her Nne, kee ka imelu she replies you with huh!

U KNOW ALOT OF OUR PEOPLE GREW UP IN AREAS WHERE IGBO IS NOT SPOKEN.

SOME CAN HEAR BUT CANNOT SPEAK.

SOME CANNOT SPEAK FLUENTLY.

WE NEED TO ESTABLISH WHERE DEY WERE BORN OR GREW UP.

JUMPING INTO CONCLUSION CREATE MISREPRESENTATION AND FURTHER PROBLEMS.

WEN WE HAVE OUR CITIES IN THE EAST, ABOUT 75% OF OUR PROBLEMS WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED.

Are you saying inter tribal marriages are sick and disgraceful?

If so, you would have to speak to the Igbo women who are engaging in such. Here, we merely lay out the facts and analyze what effect they will or will not have on Igbo Empowerment.

In regards to Igbo Empowerment, inter tribal marriage can be a good thing if:

1. It's done in small numbers, meaning less than 2.5% of Igbo girls marry outside, and

2. Those who do marry outside, only marry the top 10% income earners and wealth holders of the group from which they are marrying

This is the standard whites use before they allow their daughters to marry outside of their ethnic group or race. This will ensure that there is a proper socioeconomic trade off.

Please explain yourself more so that we fully understand, are you saying the number should be 0% inter tribal marriages? And if so, how would you enforce such a ban?

The reality is that it will happen, so we should have parameters for how it should be done. In my opinion, if you're going to do it, do it like Chioma, who married into a billionaire family thus ensuring her family will benefit from such a decision.

I hate inter tribal marriage but its meant to happen but what matters is the extent. Most of these Igbo women married to Yoruba are mostly Lagos based ones who never learned Igbo culture. And , no Igbo women are not known to cater to men , so , they will not be bringing any wealth to Igbo land. How many did Stella Damascus brought ?

Pure truth but today the story is a little bit different.

I dont mind people from my sub culture to marry from outside as long as they dont practice acts considered abominations in out land like eating eke Idenmili like Ebonyi and Enugu do. Learn our dialect and drop yours and transform into an Omanbala woman.

COMPARING NIGERIA TO AMERICA IS LIKE COMPARING DONKEYS TO HORSES.

ONE IS PATRIARCHY, AND THE OTHER IS MATRIARCH.

WOMEN OWN THE KIDS IN AMERICA AND IN NIGERIA THE MEN OWN THE KIDS.

Eziukwu road aba (phase 1)
These roads have been bad for as long as I can remember, am happy the are getting much needed attention. Milverton road is where most luxury vehicles offices/take off and offloading point is located. While eziukwu roads leads to cemetery market forward to ph road. It also has a considerable number of Banks.

Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has restored public water supply in Owerri metropolis. Uzodinma spoke on Wednesday, in Owerri, through his Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachukwu, adding that the governor, took the action immediately he discovered there were complaints of scarcity of water in the state capital.

Nigeria and its inhabitants are pitiably hilarious. Is public water supply in Imo state being hoarded? If so, who actually cached it? If actually Owerri has the benefit to enjoy public water supply, Hope Uzodinma definitely has no hand in it.

This is quite unfortunate, women only do what the men of that society allow.

Since we have no penalty, this continues. Of such women were made to be marginalized for not valuing the culture, you would see an overnight change.

Lastly, Igbo people bearing colonial names must end with this next generation. There should be no one here who names their child a foreign name, because foreigners aren't naming their children with Igbo name.

Even our royal fathers have English names, this is a disgrace, the Queen of England would never name her daughter Ngozi, but our Igwes will make their daughter Annabelle or Mary.

NWANNE WHERE HAVE U BEEN HIDING.

BACK TO BACK, U ARE DROPPING HITS.

IF WE HAD LEADERSHIP IN IGBOLAND THEY WOULD HAVE PLACED A BAN ON THE BOLDED.

BUT OHANAEZE ARE FULANI ASS LICKERS, SO THEY DONT KNOW WAT THEY ARE DOING.

EZE ERI SEEM TO BE THE ONLY ONE THAT MAKES SENSE OUT OF ALL OF DEM.

HE IS CONNECTING IGBO STOLEN IN TRANSATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE BACK WITH THE IGBO HOMELAND.

THIS IS WAT KINGS DO.

Voicing your displeasure at the events of Igbo girls marrying Yoruba men sort of portray you as a weakling. Like you couldn't compete with them and now you are being a sore loser. We have more important and desperate needs that needs our attention. Meanwhile , the percentage of Igbo girls married to Yoruba men is not even up to a tenth of 1% of Igbo women. You shouldn't lose sleep over that.

Moreover, most of those Igbo girls married to Yoruba men are rotten eggs...mostly gold diggers who can bed anything. Didn't an Onicha woman who was vastly educated settled for an Atiku Abubakar and became his 3rd wife just because of money....these women have no shame.

You still don’t get it. Igbo women are free to marry whom they fall in love with. I just don’t support it with groups that hate or wish so much evil against the igbos.

There are so many igbophobic groups that want to marry igbo women. Yorubas are known for that.

I have no problem with igbo women marrying ibibios or Efiks and similar groups. They don’t have a history of wishing us evil.

You can’t hate and antagonize us yet come the next day to marry from us. Even here on Nairaland, some of the biggest tribalist are married to igbo women. Edo is included in this.

This is the only solution. Concrete roads lasts for decades.

The concrete road that Michael okpara built decades ago towards the cement factory in Nkalagu is still intact.

Please we need common sense leadership back in Igboland.

When Ghana declared the year of return last year, I was jealous of them because I have thought about igbo land doing something like this for years. Now Ghana is already reaping the investments.

A lot of people in the diaspora have done their DNA and confirmed their dominant igbo ancestry. Yet we as igbos haven’t opened up our land for our lost brethren’s to come and visit and invest.

We are missing a big opportunity. We don’t have to wait for Nigeria before we declare our own year of return and start building our tourism industry.
