Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Toju200(m): 4:31pm On Feb 06, 2020 |
Odunayaw:bro it's not a dji phantom drone.why would NAF display a dji drone.its the newly produced combat hexacopter I want to see it's latest improvement because I heard that's what they are currently working on. |
Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by GabrielYulaw(m): 4:39pm On Feb 06, 2020 |
bidexiii: OK. It is an armed helicopter. But why has there been so much focus lately on the AW109E? What is so special about it? If there is a need for an actual combat helicopter what is stopping the NAF from buying such, instead of adding machine guns to a medium helicopter that was not expressly designed for the role they are using it for. I am just curious. |

Toju200: Even a DJI drone can be very lethal. ISIS and others have been using such for years to drop grenades and bombs on their opponents, especially in the Middle East. It has even been turned into a suicide drone. |

Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by bidexiii: 5:15pm On Feb 06, 2020 |
GabrielYulaw: In my own opinion it's a force multiplier.. And we need more of them to help the mi35m concentrate on the north east theatre while they can focus on the central North or troubled area where there are lesser threats. Now the mi35m is a lethal weapon and we also need more of them. I pray they pay up for the remaining 7, I read it is ready to be delivered. I know most of you would want a pure attack platform. Russians are using this mi35s to kick ISIS butt, I think What we need do is to remodel our doctrine to meet emerging COIN tactics on air support for ground troops |

bidexiii: Interesting. Yes, I think a pure attack platform would be best. Using the Augusta for bandit suppression duties makes some sense, but I fear those bandits are getting braver and bolder. Why, they nearly shot down a police chopper this week. They wouldn't have tried that nonsense if it was a Mi Mil 35 facing them. 2 Likes |

GabrielYulaw: NAF is using the same helicopter to fight the same bandit in troubled northern states. It's all bore down to tactics employed during the operation- honestly i commend NAF for assuming there responsibility even modern military attack helicopter are been shot down by riffles |

LTGEN:Clearly, as you can see in this picture, the rocket pods can only take 7 rockets each. The larger rocket pods mounted on the Mi-series is too large for A109.

He was among the pioneer set of the Police Special Forces trained in Belarus. Born on July 8, 1985, he was enlisted into the Nigeria Police on June 1, 2008 as a Constable and rose to the rank of Inspector of Police before his untimely death. As a member of the Special Forces, he participated in several successful Police operations and joint missions with the military in the fight against insurgency both in and outside the North-eastern part of the country. While condoling with the family, friends, and professional colleagues of the late officer, the IGP restates the commitment of the Force to the safety of its personnel and the nation. Some of the exhibits recovered by the Police during the operation include 11 AK47 rifles, 730 rounds of live AK47 ammunition, 152 rounds of GPMG ammunition in two chains, 13 pairs of military camouflage uniforms, 2 cartons and 48 sachets of tramadol, four facemasks, phones and other electronic gadgets which are currently subject of forensic investigations. Meanwhile, citizens living in and around Birnin-Gwari axis of Kaduna State have been enjoined to be on the lookout for fleeing bandits especially those with bullet wounds and report every suspicious behavior to the Police.
