Its glaring... Local investors may shut their eyes to what's happening on the global stage but foreign investors won't. And as long as they hold a sizeable percentage of stocks on NSE, when they sneeze, NSE catches cold.

Let's trust that good news around this outbreak will come forth soon

Exactly. This is where the bulk of the problem lies. FPIs control our market largely, reason we're always affected at the slightest issue from the global world.
Let's be praying that God intervenes soonest, funds are involved and going to be trapped unless good news surfaces. There's nothing God cannot do.

Newbie's in the house, I think it's high time you started looking at other forms of investment, such as mutual funds, money market fund in particular.
Also treasury bills and Fed. Govt bonds.
So you don't have all your eggs in one basket. Just a piece of advice.
Oldbies knows how to play NSE game much better. May God help us.

That is why I said every Nsempa should look for at least 5m for trading.Imagine every local investor trading at least 5m and our local institutional investors a minimum of 50m.company market makers on their own at least 20m.

Fpi will have no negative impact in our stock market.Instead we are here to derive from them(parasite)

Do you think they won't be rude?

I just started going through this thread a few hours ago, I am looking for a financial adviser/stock broker or someone to advice on shares. Can you be of assistance?

Sorry, wouldn't be able to do that.......but we have lots of financial advisers on this forum, you'll register with them with token fees and you get a better service.
As for stock brokers, there are quite some good ones you can register with. You can go for Morgan Capital, they have the lowest charges in the industry and render better brokerage services.

I don't want to go up.Just trying to tell us we never come up to expectations in our market.

Foreigners come here and manipulate us unnecessarily.

Loco you're right.....but where will everyone get 5M to trade with, with the economic condition of the country and unfavorable policies? It's affecting even the companies, not to talk of individuals.
Anyone that will advice someone to borrow bank loan to trade is a wicked somebody with the kind of trend ongoing now in the market. grin
That's the way I see it sha.
People with huge capital will continue to control the market, that's the irony of it, and this are mostly the FPIs.

Stranded keh, did they take the companies you invested in away when they left you stranded? Did they take over our companies through the back door? Did they mismanage the companies on NSE, that such companies are no longer profitable?

People who can't stand the heat of the kitchen can start a poultry business, by December 2020 they should be able to get a profit margin of at least 40%.

When you have clueless people with itchy fingers in CBN this is the result you get.

The market is likely responding with the global fear of ncovid-19 being pandemic.
I stack more of Jaiz bank, Vitafoam and Zenith bank today as i saw them cheaper. I will still looking closely for bargain stocks while stacking more calculatively.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 6:01pm On Feb 24, 2020
The problem is not even with the FPIs but that the local investors are not even encouraged to invest in the NSE. The financial illiteracy in the Nation is too high. The number of shareholders in Zenith Bank is not even up to 700,000 out of an adult population of not less than 60m.

Maybe we will get the info before market commence tomorrow.

The dumping did not start today...
Gtb which is more or less a barometer for NSE has been on the downward trend since last week with heavy volume.
And when you see that on NSE, you don't need anyone to tell you that there is fire on the mountain

Chief, leave Oga Agba oooo. He knows what he's doing. He saw this long ago and printed it here, alongside his jokes. Once one can decipher when he's joking, you are good to go.

His post about a hammer last week was ended with a smiley, he wasn't serious about it.

Devaluation is inevitable this year...

The sign are clear, the FDI knows this and have started bailing out as usual not minding dividend and low price.

But individual investors want to average down based on hope...

Well get ready, cos next earning season is 2021 a lot can happen.
