This is the kind of testimony I love to read. Only a few Nigerians show appreciation, they will still throw "olumo" at you even if they quietly learn from you. This is how it should be, not the unnecessary "rock" throwing. God bless you, sir!

Na person way no know Oracle dey throw am rock....

Once I check say na new comer for NSE dey throw the rock, I just ignore.

Those that know, will argue and still learn. The rest argue and stay loosing.

Those that wrote the investment books (foreign investors) are the movers and shakers of our local market sir.

If you bought UBA at 9.25 one month ago and it closed today at 6.85, this is 26% loss.

If you invested N100m,you have 74m left.

Same with those who bought Access at 12 and now it 9. i.e. 25% loss.

So how can your body not heat up? grin

And with such a loss and it continues to fall, won't you faint? What if it nears 50% loss. Meaning N50m gone!

Entry is key. Even Ben Graham advised it.

Veecovee...I don't understand the loss that is making you argue with Oga Oracle like this.

If na another person I for doubt. You no be today person for NSE.

This one must be serious oh!

I understand the pain, that a lot of people waited and plan to sell in May as usual and refused to sell when Oracle was shouting Sell..Sell...Sell.

Oracle to a reasonable extent know this NSE. This your argument is somehow.

The most important thing is to know what you have bought and why you have bought, don't let the noise in the market place confuse you.

It is very possible that you have bought right and yet the share price can still depreciate, it is almost impossible to time the market. Trying to time the market, might make you miss opportunities in the market.

APR rights sold for N1.20k. N12 million will buy 10 million units, which earned a dividend of N3.6 million in 2018, N4.5 million in 2019 and N6.3 million in 2020. Generating a total dividend of N14.4 million after deduction of withholding tax in the last 3 years and capital appreciation of N38 million.

N1.20k was a good price for the right offer, as in it was appropriately priced. But not quite long after the right offer, the price still went down to close to 90k. Those who listened to the noise in the market place, sold and are no longer partakers of the wealth created by the company in the last 6 years.

Business and investing can be likened to a marathon race and not a Sprint. What investors need is patience, financial muscles and staying power. Cash flow will give the financial muscles, endurance and staying power

Very good analysis sir. Do you factor foreign currency devaluations into consideration with this analysis? How much is exchange rate then...and what’s the exchange rate now?

Investment of N12 million about 6 years ago is now worth over N50 million and you have collected dividends of over N20 million in last 6 years.

What type of currency devaluation are you talking about, I believe in diversification. If that is the case part of the over N20 million dividends would have been Invested in Eurobonds and other dollar denominated investments

Pastor Vee, u dont know Oracle strategy and stop guessing please. I am privileged to know his strategy, he buys at a very low price with good margin of safety, even if market drops further after buying, he keeps buying and getting dividends. Then when the market euphoria comes and people start giving ridiculously high prices stocks will get to, then he start to sell and handover his kaya to the market optimist that are waiting for wapco to hit 3 euros.
He is not a trader and doesn't look for 10-20% capital gain. He enters stocks at a ridiculous low price that can give him atleast 100%. A case study was the fidelity he bought at 80 Kobo and sold for 224% gain. He is someone I am privileged to know and also learn from his strategy. He has saved me millions of naira in terms of capital loss. He asked me to sell my uba during the last bull and told me my entry price of 7 naira was too high. Thank God I sold then, if not my uba would have gone back to a loss position in my portfolio.
He is of the strategy of if it doesn't poo, it must vomit but his point has always been buy low with good margin of safety as preached by the intelligent investor by Prof Ben Graham.

Thanks for taking the time to share this!

Even B Graham & Warren Buffet had their own big mistakes....

No one on this forum includin B Graham & W Buffet....

Can claim to get his entry right 90% all the time....

A trader that had 100m to trade....

Will definitely had funds in other asset classes....

To reduce the paper losses in equity....

Thats the essence of proper diversification.....

Those that bought UCAP should be smilin in their corner....

FxUser had a regular sayin that if you are not comfortable with a stock...

Reduce your exposure.... thats the essence of stop loss limit....

Gbamsolutely.

You are absolutely spot on. To see over 32% gain disappeared and turn back to loss again is sth I wouldn't forgive myself this year if i didn't listen to Oracle knowing fully well that I also took a forex loan and devaluation rumours still loud and clear. It would have been a double disaster for me.
With average price of around 7 naira uba that went to 9.25 (32% gain) wiped out and then turn to loss would have been my biggest regret this year.
Oracle, thank you so much and God bless you for that timely advice on this platform. Pls dont allow any imams, pastor, traditionalists to silent you on this forum.

N12 million invested in APR shares 6 years ago is now worth N50 million plus dividend of over N20 million making a total of N70 million.

A good Investor tries to diversify his investments, he can invest part of his dividend income into dollar denominated investments.

N12 million @ $1 to N150 is about $80,000.

$80,000 will be worth N32 million

Sir, I was keen on your previous explanation about going long term with NSE without taken external factors (like flip flopping policy) into consideration (exchange rate in particular). Have you seen the recent news from CBN regarding people with domiciliary account?

Policies will come and go, try and position yourself to benefit no matter the direction of the policies.

Nigerian banks have mastered the science and art of making money from the country no matter the direction of the economy or government policies.

Someone is investing local and you are here talking about devaluation. Why do we always look for ways to take away from facts. The guy you quoted never mentioned that he brought in dollars to buy APR. Why? Because you are now a currency speculator. What happened to y'all's call for devaluation?

Am waiting to increase my holdings in Jim Ovia Bank soonest....will definitely increase it before closure of register, collect the dividend, still re-invest it in ZB.

Already in April 2049 fgn bonds giving me better coupon payments

Will be re-investing the coupons in ZB, Dangcem and updc reit shares going forward

Make the prices of the stocks keep coming down, we will keep buying them until we reach Agbalowomeri bottom price
