I have this issue with my old Mitsubishi try the car with another better battery most times it's the battery that's not retaining power for long when it's not charging but plugged

Except if it Sparks whenever u try removing the head then that might be an issue with the Car electrical components

There is a parasitic draw in the system. You need someone knowledgeable to track it now. Your tech should carry out a voltage drop test.

Hello everyone, this is a wonderful thread. Please my Pontiac Vibe 2003 just stopped three weeks ago and my mechanic said it was a faulty oil pump. But he has changed 4 oil pumps but says its still faulty and he is advising me to buy a new engine, please is there another option for me?

Senario... I went out with a friend yesterday before we set out we checked and realised the oil guage was below half (not so far from the lower marker).
He concluded that he will service car (oil change) this weekend so need need to top oil.
One our way we stopped by a mechanic (who normally does his oil change) and mechanic also touched something related to the airflow Meter.

Then the RPM jump up and kept hovering around 1200 to 1500 rpm(even with AC on and "" drive engaged and car was not moving)

After a while in traffic we noticed the temperature gauge started rising. Up till 3/4

Note:
- the radiator never poured out water.
- we left car till later in the evening. Disconnected and reconnected battery terminal to regularise the rpm (as the throttle was electrical)
Car did not overheat on our way back..

Hence for information sake, I would like to know the bolded questions above. Thanks

Can one permanently install obd 1 or 2 devices in hilux and buses (fleet management) so that it sends information all the time to the owner rather than using obd 1 or 2 for checking faults only?

If I get you right , you want to diagnose remotely? If yes what's the distance? If a couple of Meters, then Bluetooth /wireless enabled scanners are available in the market . If several KM, then scan tools with simcards that transmit data might be available but not so popular .
