‘A good appointment done in a wrong way’ – Babayaro faults Yobo's Nigeria appointment "From my point of view as an ex-player I think he is a good appointment probably done in a wrong way," Babayaro told BBC Sport. "I'm not sure if he's got his badges but if you are trying to appoint someone you make sure they've got the right credentials before you appoint them. "I don't care if it's an ex (player) or whoever, make sure you appoint the right person that knows the job. "Yes, Joseph Yobo has been a captain for Nigeria and he has done well, if you want to give him that sort of position make sure he gets the right badges. "If he hasn't got his badges, send him somewhere. It takes a few months or less than a year." "Get the right badges, get the right papers and make him whatever you want to make him." 3 Likes |

andrewbaba44: U don't have to worry about how it will end up.. u aren't a Liverpool fan,so u have no emotional stake at the club.. U just want to troll Gerrard because of your dislike for anything that has to do with English football just as u are trolling Lampard .. Gerrard is coming home!! 1 Like |

Danielnino00: So because Gerrard was a world class footballer, he automatically makes a good coach? Was Rangers a small team before Gerrard joined them? Has Rangers not made Europa or even champions league before Gerrard? Or you think I'm being sentimental. Gerrard coming will be the undoing of Liverpool |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Danielnino00(m): 1:34pm On Feb 27, 2020 |
Blueelf: I never said he would be world class coach..and I certainly didn't say Rangers was a small club before he took over.. But you are definitely being sentimental... Because Lampard who is an English coach isn't performing well at Chelsea,u assume Gerrard would do the same with Liverpool..that's sentiments... Like I said, the man is doing quite alright with Rangers...yesterday he qualified them for their first round of 16 appearance in European competition since 2011 and is still in the race to win the Scottish league title... Our own Joe Aribo who is playing under him is doing quite well too...by all indications,he is a decent coach... U have no evidence yet to corroborate your claim that he will make a terrible coach other than the fact that he is an Englishman.. |

ILLICITblood:Im surprised we havent taken up arms to roast him on all social media platforms for that statement. What the hell does he mean? In the SE he and Ola Aina can form an understanding as both are good with attacks. They can be swapping in times of overlapping. No loss whatsoever. We need a Crouch kinda striker to start using head to score, not necessarily but at least have him. |

Danielnino00:I am relaxed cos the rush is from Southgate's end of the pitch. We only have hope and the fact that his dad has shown love for the GWG. Else, we are just hoping. England want to have him but with that silent "your time will come" punchline. I hope he is wise to see that. He wont even make the Euros team. Afcon will however be a good one. This Ian Wright never said such about Iwobi o. But now.... Lets keep watching. |

Huesca Coach appreciates Nwakali’s talent Head Coach of Segunda Division side SD Huesca, Francisco Javier Rodríguez Vílchez believes Nigerian international, Kelechi Nwakali has great potential and he is a wonderful addition to the club as they continue to chase promotion into the elite division, AOIFootball.com reports. Huesca have had an impressive campaign and are currently placed 4th on the log and the eventual arrival of Kelechi after visa issues is certainly needed as he will add some steel in midfield for the team, this the coach agrees with, having watched and drilled him in training since he arrived. Francisco has also taken a special likeness for Nwakali. The former Arsenal midfielder is undergoing special training organized by the club and has been made to work on his aggressiveness and shooting when on the ball. AOIFootball.com further gathered that the club’s coaching hierarchy appreciates the quality of the former Nigeria U17 captain and are polishing him to make him even a better attacking midfielder in the mould of Koke and Ivan Rakitic of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Nwakali is expected to get some game minutes soon. Meanwhile, the Olympic Eagles midfielder has begun his Spanish language class to sharpen his communication skills with his teammates. Language and communication have been a barrier since the Owerri born player arrived in Spain and this recent move will definitely aid easy understanding and communication. AOI football dropped news of K.Nwakali's progress at Huesca accompanied by exclusive pics when all thought he was out of the picture and set for CD Ejea. And It is true Nwakali is rated by the Huesca staff which is why he hasn't been sent on loan. So No Tbaba... News is legit. I won't take it with a grain of salt. Merci. tbaba1234: 1 Like 1 Share |

I’m not under pressure to score goals, says Chukwueze Villarreal CF of Spain wing wizard, Samuel Chukwueze has said he is unperturbed about his lack of goals this season as he is still a work in progress. Chukwueze has not been a regular starter this season and has only scored 6 goals in all competitions this season. The former U17 World Cup star has scored 3 goals in LaLiga, two lesser than the 5 he scored in his break out season, 1 in the Europa League and 2 in the Copa Del Rey. Speaking to AOIFootball.com from his base in Spain, Chukwueze disclosed that he is not bothered about his lack of goals and starter’s shirt for his club because as a young player he still needs to learn the craft and perfect it. He also believes his coach’s change of tactics does not make him fit perfectly into the current style of play and will always be called upon whenever he is needed. “Goals come with luck. I have had a couple of chances this season and I make attempts to convert them but you know you just have to keep trying. I’m actually not bothered because it is still a learning process for me and I know very soon what I have been practicing will start manifesting,” a confident Chukwueze said. Chukwueze has featured 24 times for the Yellow Submarines in the LaLiga this season, starting 13 times and coming on as a substitute 11 times. Source: AOIFOOTBALL 3 Likes
