The earlier we have a real government, the better. Sadly, 2023 will find us recycling these idiots. If we have a good judicial system to use such as a deterrent and an executive to back then up, things like this would stop.
so the govt destroyed the bridge abi? Please what are you smoking?

Idiotic stupid statement. When will the irresponsible stupid 'common man' in Nigeria use his brain?

So you are blaming the government for this? Do you werey common men in Nigeria realise how useless you are and so so difficult to govern? Alaini ironu!

What kain heading be dis nau,
I was thinking say na dat kain Nairaland 'developers' only to read say na nameless real estate developer
People get mind for dis naija sha, imaging carrying digger to just dey destroy monumental public property, haba! No be him fault sha, na do fault of "nation without leader"

Why do we blame everything on leader in this country? Why? What about personal responsibility? Do you know how difficult it is to govern Nigerians? Do you know?

Are our leaders aliens? Are they not from us, the people of Nigeria?

You are too simple to understand.. cheesy

If we elected responsible leaders and had an effective/free judiciary we wouldn't have these problems..
Okay!!!

That is what he is saying in a thread that is telling us about bad citizens destroying our commonwealth? A bridge solidly built by government many years ago.

You know pointing fingers makes more sense when you are not pointing it at yourself.

That is where the issue lies. Until we have a government that shows it to people that you pay the price for your crime, people will keep acting irresponsibly.

Some of the psychological symptom of cussing ones nation too much is that it leads citizens to loose respect for themselves, others, their environment as well cause an inability in citizens to notice and appreciate progress even when progress reaches up and slaps them across the face.

You left the condemnation of the idiot destroying the 3rd Mainland bridge but focus on 2023 that was never mentioned in the post above.
This is hatred and bitterness at its peak...

I ask you the same? Did you read my post with a mind to understand it? No government, laws or whatever can control a population without a sense of community and always determined to put self above others. The problem with Nigerian starts 1st with Nigerians themselves, it is because of the people that we end up with the kinds of governments we have. Countries have bad leaders and bad governments from time to time but the people self check but Nigeria is the only major country I know that always has bad governments.....ask yourself why?

Your statement in itself is a reflection of the problem with Nigerians, we feel its the governments responsibility for everything. If we are not waiting for government, we are waiting for God to fix our problems! Meanwhile the people in govt, the people who make the laws, the people who break the laws, the people who bribe, the people who receive are all Nigerians.

We the citizens need to start taking responsibility for our country.

Maybe if you have been to other countries u would understand wat i am saying... Sometime a little patriotism and love for the country does some wonders in making a country great... Wen u get to some countries, you would realize that's it's nt that thier government is fantastic., but people av this sense of 'let's make our country a livable place'... We need to take some responsibility as people... We love chaos and lawlessness
