Growing up for me was really horrible. I did a lot of menial jobs to survive like sandfilling, bush clearing, farming just to survive,I could remember been chased out from my rented apartment by my landlord after owing 6 months house rent. Things took a new turn after a friend introduced me to metal scraps biz. 27 Likes 1 Share |

I grew up with my siblings in the small village of magama, in jibia local government, katsina state. For whatever reason, my dad refused to work but opened a pool betting shop where old miserable men come to waste their destinies with the wishful thinking that one day they will hit jackpot. My dad couldn't feed the 8 of us including my mum. I was just about 9yrs old then and the first son. We found ourselves more at home than in school due to acute poverty. One day I decided to do something. At the age of 10, I could already speak Hausa language fluently, and mingled so well with Hausa kids. What I did was narrating our poverty state to my friend janaidu, and pleaded with him if I could come do chores for his mum and her co-wives. His dad was a rich marabout with 4 wives and about 16 children then. My friend janaidu was the first son of the second wife. So that was how I became a glorified house boy in the house of my friend, but to be honest Hausa people are very kind. This man called me one day and my siblings and sent all of us back to school. He even went as far as allowing us move to one of his houses where we stayed for close to 10yrs. This man was practically feeding our entire family, but on my part I made sure I worked hard to take care of his family chores for about 10yrs. In 2005, we moved to suleja, Niger State where I hit the streets immediately to sell water in truck and some days offload yams at madala market. I was able to save up to sit for waec and jamb, and with God on my side, I got admission to study international studies and diplomacy in uniben. I graduated and later on applied for law and was also admitted. I did alot of hustling while in school ranging from selling phonics teaching aids I designed for nursery and primary pupils, writing exams for persons(this was very risky), and many other side hustles I can't remember now. I had enough to fend for myself and even help others. But my major break was when a cousin of mine gifted me 4 million naira december last year after my call to bar. God has really been owesome in my life. To Him be all the glory. 226 Likes 20 Shares |

Typing... Well I'm still very young and still struggling to survive. But the little story i want to share now is about my inlaw. He told me that he has tested poverty before. He struggled to enter secondary school but unfortunately he couldn't finish... He later started hawking bread on the streets before he could survive, even the bread he was hawking then was for someone. To cut the long story short, he later started learning vulcanising work in front of a filling station. After going through all sort of challenges and being humble, obedience, hardworking and continue to believe for better tomorrow, finally he is not just rich but damn rich. He started selling tyres, buy on credit and resell. Gradually he starting buying with his own money. He later bought different plots of land all over the state capital as an investment. build houses and finally he now own a new mansion where he now sells tyres with young boys employed including a graduate who is a secretary. The funny part was that the company he built now was exactly opposite the filling station where he suffered to learn vulcanizing work somewhere in kogi state. His story really inspired me. Advising me to be hardworking that if I'm i will be better than him in the nearest future. And i must not forget to love others like myself, be prayerful and always doing my tithe. Firstly, make sure your daily problem is not more than your daily bread. Secondly, never date the wrong set of people. Thirdly, keep trying. One day you will receive a life changing phone call. Fourthly, make enough mistakes till you are 25 but never repeat any of your mistakes. More so, make sure you ask yourself; are you working for yourself and future, Or you are living for others? Most importantly, Strangers will help you more than your friends and family.... Conclusively, trust the God of host. That's my story MD/CEO DYNAMIC IMPACT AGRO ALLIED 77 Likes 10 Shares |

We were so poor...I could not go to uni when all my friends were. Here's what helped.... 1. I read Lots of books. Motivational books. Business books. Marketing books. One that helped me know there was more to life was Robert Schuller book 'Tough times don't last but tough people do'. I borrowed a foto copied version from a friend. That was in 1997. I would Starve myself so I can buy books. Sometimes I foto copy from other people or borrow it. By 2007...i stumbled on some CDs by Sam Adeyemi and he advised the best way to get out of poverty is to learn a skill and make money from it. 2. I learnt a skill. That paid lots of money. I learnt copywriting. Online marketing. Direct response marketing. I ready everything and watched all videos I could find online by Frank Kern....Dan Kennedy and started applying it. 3. I would read a lot about rich people. Wht they do. What houses they buy....what business they run. How they make money. 4. I would also read any business book. Financial newspapers. I am that person that would buy a newspaper to see the adverts in it and trace what those companies do. Overtime...I started making money. Made first million in 2008. And then just rinse and repeat. I have lost millions too. But a lot better now financially. Travelled the world. Met lot of people. Built contact. And at the ripe age of 35 got a degree from a foreign University. Funny enough....that degree is now useless. Even in full time employment in my country of residence...i have never been asked for the certificate. What matters most is my skills. 82 Likes 9 Shares |

Well my parent's weren't rich but we were pretty comfortable and I didn't really lack too much but there was no opportunity because of social stratification,so I had to turn to udemy to acquire skills plus my certificate and other business idea, now I got a house and 2cars(selling one) I think I'm pretty comfortable and I try to give back as well. 9 Likes 2 Shares |
