Hmmm... They will definitely be released today. I believe they've learned their lessons now. I really think people should cut this couple some slacks. Yes, they messed up by violating the order for doing what they did during this period. But at least they were only celebrating his (JJC Skillz) birthday & most importantly, Funke has already acknowledged her mistakes & apologized almost immediately. All these nonsense rants are because everyone know about the party especially because she's a popular figure. What about those ones especially the ordinary citizens that are doing same parties low key in their houses and no one knows about it? Yes, there are still some people havin unnecessary House parties during this Lockdown. Nigerians are just bitter hypocritical in nature. Most od those people who insulted her online yesterday wouldn't mind going to the party if she invited them. This thing goes both ways to be honest. Funke Akindele and her hubby messed up and Nigerians are bitter hypocrites too.
They would be released today...hmm see Mr Judge speaking. Somebody said in the other thread that police would release them quickly now they've landed in court. She should thank her God if she doesn't end in prison. I don't see that case ending soon.

this is not a criminal offence or felony, just misdemeanor

Misdemeanor is part of criminal offenses.

You actually have it wrong.
Criminal offense is divided into two; misdemeanor and felony.

I still say this often, must we post everything that happens around us to social media?...
let me pick up on this do called 'celebrities', their Instagram page, Twitter, Facebook and other social platforms has become a show off competitive ground. U travel to Yankee you post right from airport, in the plane, when landing down to all activities to did..
They don't have secrets at all, imagine you as a Lawyer by education and you understand too well about violation of rule or law and it's consequences. This period when social distancing is a must by government order due to the pandemic, you went all the way to held a close birthday party with unacceptable numbers of attendance and still have the courage to post on Instagram, what a shame!! posting it to the public for what purpose, to hail you or see how much money to got?
The social media has done more injuries to them than profit.
Now to the arrest and arraignment, it will end in collecting their share from her, her money will set here free.

Pretty certain that not all criminals are observing the lockdown... cheesy
Courts still have to arraign and process criminal suspects or other offenders.

The court system is probably only running skeletal operations...
But there are things in the judicial (esp. criminal justice) system that are time-sensitive.

You think #100k will scratch them?

Its the shame.

Many celebrities are doing same behind closed doors without posting it though.

Good one Nigeria police and Lagos State government. The precedent has been set. Sanity must be restored in this country if we must move forward. Nobody should be above the law of the land. Flaunt the law, do the time. Case closed

Of Course!
What do you Expect them to Plead Before?

No one Should Blame village people here!

They Used their own Hands to Expose and Ridicule themselves!

Hopefully ,they will learn their lesson and Others will learn from them and this Craze of Unnecessary And Non-essential Competition and show up will be Curtailed!

Your Life should be your private property!
Not For the Public

There are Mysteries about life! If you know, you will be Extremely careful on what you Expose or put out on Social Media and so on

Very Good One from the Nigerian Police Force!

In this case they are their own village people

Abba Kyari must face similar prosecution, it is an offence to treat an epidemic declared by the state privately.

A typical Nigerian that will support rubbish just becos it is in our DNA to always flout our laws. People with weak immune system could get infected in that gathering from other infected persons that might not know they are infected. What she did was very irresponsible and being an ambassador to a disinfectant company, makes it even worse.

You should not be supporting such nonsense even if there are be some lawless Nigerians that might be doing same thing underground, that does not make it right in any way. What she did was highly irresponsible and reckless considering she is an aspiration to her fans and the rest of younger Nigerians.
