I just hope this won’t be for too long. The attendant suffering and economic loss that comes with a sustained lockdown would be unbearable. The Federal government doesn’t have the resources to feed every citizen even if it wants to. If this goes beyond another two weeks, people may revolt.

its necessary to extend the lockdown to properly contain this covid 19 menace but am completely sad seeing the way this administration was handling it

This administration have demonstrated that they don't care about Nigerians but they are only after their pocket which is very very unfortunate

Many Nigerians can't have 3 meal in a day when they are going to work on daily basis but with this lock down without government intervention it has increased people sufferings.

Let us be sincere, this government has never assisted anyone, their claimed palliative measure is sham & big shame

They said they've distributed money to people but no evidence to back up the claim and even in my local goverent I can't see just one person who received such palliative measure

listening to radio these days makes someone sad because the way people beg on radio is very alarming even when you walk on street you see people begging to eat

quote me anywhere, this government has not assisted Nigerians since the outbreak of this menace & this shows our government is very very irresponsible

rate of crime has increased within short period of time

Government should think outside the box and not see this menace as avenue to loot our treasury in the name of giving foods or money to people

what people needs now is food to eat and meaningful food in form of food stuff

All these bread they are sharing up and down as 4 loaves to a whole building is an embarassment and insult to Nigerian

we only hope and pray this doesn't lead to anarchy because when people can no longer endure hunger they resort to doing many unthinkable things

Government should stop playing politics with this menace and at least be responsible for once

haba

we have more than enough to feed people but they prefer to do otherwise to make money off this menace

The 20k cash transfer they are talking about is sham and not transparent in any way

nobody from my local government receives such and the way people beg these days is very alarming

tune to your local radio station n see how people beg

A responsible govvernmnet will suspend luxury lifestyles for now and spend the money on populace but alas our government dont give a damn about us

I just hope this news ain't true. By the nature of my job, I'm out even in this lock down period and I can tell you from my interactions with people that many out there believe this covid-19 is a hoax, the actions of govt so far kind of reinterates this belief that some folks in power want to make some big bucks out of this confusion. I just hope govt will surprise us, which is very unlikely with this apc govt though, by getting things right in the area of providing palliatives cos if what we are witnessing so far is anything to go by, deploying the security forces all over the place can't stop what's coming as people whose earnings depend on being out there on the daily need a very fantastic support from govt to stay home, not this pittance which can't go round due to lack of planning and corruption. God help this country cos the future is not looking good with this inept govt on board at such a critical period as this.

Sharing grains to "the poor". I believe it's the same "poor" that were paid 20k
Interestingly, Ebonyi and Ogun states were nt captured in the poor people's list.

Citizens should try and bear pls. (Its about survival not comfort)
There is nothing to be done about the hunger(the palliatives will not be enough to go round) thats the bitter truth nd the reality on ground so Citizens should be less greedy as some only just want to over stock (human beings mentality when scared) not necessarily needing the provisions which causes harm to people who actually need them.

We can weather this out if only the more blessed helps the less capable ones with whtever they can no matter how small.

As for the poor abeg make una stop asking for 1st world country amenities as even they are struggling to survive. Manage what you're given my friend as no one owes you anything.

That or you have a choie to make..... Either covid-19 or hungvid-20 na you su sabi. sad

My neighbor said God will help us.
It's really annoying when Nigerians mention God in everything yet Nigeria is the fantastically corrupt on earth.
We are rejoicing that we have few cases compared to others . my question is : How many people have been tested? There could be thousands of Cases ,not the junk stats being churned out now .
Working countries are testing as many of their citizens and updating their stats every day but we have not tested up to 100,000 people in a country of 200 million.
everything scatter and jagajaga for this country

Let it continue until the pandemic is effectively curtailed.

Together we shall end it.

These political government are very smart. They have put measures in place to benefit themselves only. They took time to evacuate their love ones who reside abroad before they close border. Now the donations will be shared among themselves while we are left to die of hunger.
