I believe the best thing she should have done was to have the conversation with him. Look we both know you’re not the biological father of the child but we can still be married and you be a real life father to this child. And that could have been between them instead of her making it so public like that.
As long as she didn’t tell anyone else, something tells me he would have been okay with the arrangement.

Some men take infertility and impotence as the end of the world that it shouldn’t be. Especially if it’s public knowledge.

12 years.. A whole 12 years of marriage, she just ended it with a freaking phone call.. as if it was 12days.. That's the height of disregard/ disrespect of the highest order. When she got pregnant, she should have disappeared at that point knowing that the baby can't possibly be his... And he stood by her all through the pregnancy to birth..

No matter what the man has done, he doesn't deserve that kind of treatment. I wish he visited a therapist for this instead of taking his life.

Suicide is prohibited is both Islam and Christianity. There is no need to be depressed over what you can not control. This could have resolved in a simple way. If I am the one, I won't even stress myself over this. He could just accepted his faith, turn over to his Creator. Let her just go with the child and divorce her. Go on with your life. Infact you can even write a story and inspire people. Suicide is not the best answer. May God see us through. This is is sad. Even being with your brother and his advice could have given him the ultmost confidence.
