Yes,that will make TZ a big boy of east,central and southern Africa.
As you know,TZ economy grows by 7% annually, but upon completion of LNG,the economy will grow on avarage of 15% per annum. That will be enough to overtake South Africa,since SA is stagnant and there is no sign of revival anytime soon.

The only sad part of TZ is,we have delayed this project for too long.Not only that,but all other major mining projects were delayed because of changes in mining laws and reforms which was underway.

Besides gas, Our uraniums are still waiting.Liganga Iron ore and steel complex project($3 billion) it is still negotiated.

I pray all impediment are removed..I want to see TZ blossom and shine so bright into the skies

Gas is different from oil...
Investors will look for new emerging market ...it all a out making money...And if that investment will triple their investment then best believe they would invest even if it is in Somalia admist this oil price drop..

Stop being jealous and pray that Kenya discovers it's own gas so China can come and invest $100bn in it

Yes,they didn't want this project to take off.But its almost impossible for a project to stall any longer, the reason is the money which was invested in exploration and other infrastructure till today is estimated to be as high as $4 billion plus.And most of it is from foreign companies and some is from the TZ gov under a state company-TPDC(Tanzania petroleum development company)
So no one wants to loose money.every one wants his money to start generating profit.No one will just fold his arms and let his money rot underground.

Definitely TZ will blossom very soon.TZ has almost everything.approximately 2/3 of TZ land area has minerals.In our shores of Indian ocean it is where all a huge gas deposit is situated.
Though development isn't all about natural resources, but our minerals has a huge impact on our economic boom

you just need a national compagny that control all your oil gas industry and ressouce , not letting foreigners compagnies take most of the wealth.

why nigeria havnt nationalized this compagnies ? look at Sonatrach , the algerian national oil and gas compagny , the first compagny in africa in terms of revenue . algeria nationalized its oil industry in 1971 (9 years after independency) after fighting with foreigners compagnies that was controlling algerian oil gas industry .

if nigerian gouvern do the same , foreign compagnies and countries will put a lot of pressure and threats . but after some years the revenues and budgets will rise a lot . from current very low 23 Billions dollars to more than 100 Billions
