Any way to make money, guys?

Bored.. Anyone will Python programming video tutorial within lagos..

Have you tried using the Sololearn app on Google Play? You can also find free PDFs on Google.

There is a PDF document circulated on WhatsApp last month containing advanced books made available by Springer for free during this lockdown (pandemic) period. You can get good books on Python from that PDF if you've it.

P. S.: I am a beginner in Python.

It is stupid that Nigerians still consider silly bachelor degrees like sociology and Mass COMM Or some masters programs as job earners.

Most Western countries with less degree holders are light years ahead of Nigeria in the job market because of their skills training.

How does one get it into the heads of stupid Nigerians that what they need are not necessarily degrees but skills training like...Electrician, specialized farming, Wind Turbine Technician, dietitian, Iron and Steelworker, Plumber, landscaping, Computer Programmer, or Security Analyst, Tool-and-Die Maker, Pharmacy Technician and many more!!!

My answer is capital NO.
Better used that money for professional and IT Skills that's if u love knowledge.
Or better still take it to open business.
Master is just a name, same thing u know before is what dey will still teach u.

A Bachelor's, a Master's, and even a Doctorate does not guarantee ANYTHING, not only in Nigeria, but anywhere in the world. It can only enhance your chances in some cases. It all depends on what you want. I was running a Master's programme in 2010 but left for more important things. Then, in 2018, I completed my Master's programme after starting all over again. Professors have been on my neck telling me to enroll for my PhD, due to my performance on the programme and my passion for research and teaching. That I am yet to consider.
One thing you should know, though, is that when the time comes to get that job, that promotion, that appointment, and you need a Master's or higher degree and you don't have it, boom! The opportunity is gone and given to the one who has. Talking from experience. Do what you can, while you can.

Even d available least paid employers will reject you for d fear of yr degree - they will pick school cert holders that they can control upandan ahead of you

Atimes you may even hide yr masters degree to have more chance of being selected

Since growing up I have always been accustomed to the idea of double up my degree.
Not like it's a bad thing but what purpose does it serve to run a Masters or PhD program in the long run.

My Dad is always telling me to do one program here and there. It gets tiring honestly as I don't consider myself an academic per se and I would only put in effort when I see something is absolutely necessary.

A cousin of mine once went to the UK for her masters, previously working at a brewery. She told me that going for this program would guarantee her an upgrade in department level

Has anyone here gotten any similar experiences, share your story or those you know of. Were you ever selected for a job based on that or a promotion?
No! undecided
