It doesn't worth it, it is better to leave your money in your savings account.

If I attempt savings account then all the money will disappear. Any weekend I miss to invest on Friday, before Monday I loss nothing less than 300k. The weekend must have impacted on my capital. I can't stop givingnout money except I don't have. Reason o invest/ safe keep my capital where I can't reach readily. Nobody's problems can make me terminate my investment.

Well except the bolded, i use to be like that but people showed me the other side of the world and took my kindness for weakness, now there is no kind of problem from friends/family that will make me to touch funds which i have decided not to touch (except my aged mother), i don't say you should not help but you must always have a limit and stand on that limit, see there is a way to discharge them when they bring their problems, just form story of a problem which never existed and tell them i bet you they will start to pity you and will not have the gut to come next time, sometimes it is easy to get to the top but to remain on top you must use your number six!

Exactly my case , being in oil and gas sector then ,business moving like a fast train , I was practicing the submissive women under the manipulation of the igbo culture that l let myself be swindled In the name of marriage .Any time I bring up investing of my money in property is causes a huge fight that am not submissive and not ready to be a wife.Next thing is for him to present to me a business proposal of his and I will be manipulated into helping him achieve his goal.and he vowed that his wife can’t have a property under her name even though she is working as in my case.2012 before we bought Ogudu ,First bank offered me mortgage of 20yrs for 25m with equity contribution of 30% for 4bedroom duplex at diamond estate sangotedo ajah beside novare mall then no mall was in existence around that vicinity , I drove from mainland to see the house as I got home excited and told my dear husband , he said all sorts of humiliating words to be and picked up fight . I got weak and lost the opportunity. Now the estate house now cost 60m now and empty plot 30m . It’s my past though. I have gotten over it , just a lesson to the gullible women out there .

I wouldn't be quick to term Igbo culture as manipulative because it is the same culture that empowered women in Ohafia. Anybody from that place knows that lineage and inheritance is traced from the woman and not the man. Ohafia women are the custodian of their land.

That being said, it is just a case manipulating the system to suit their own interpretation. It happens even in religion where religious leaders manipulate scriptures to suit their personal dogmas.
However it is a lesson to all.of us here. Husbands should encourage their wives to be invesent savvy. Bachelor's should look out for women who are investment inclined. Single Ladies who are investment savvy (such as the ones here) should try and test their toasters to know if they are matured to handle financial independence of their spouses. Fathers and mothers should not only train their daughters to be financially independent, but also to have serpentine wisdom to sniff out men with ulterior motive.

Sorry for your bitter experience. Sometimes I don't blame women who hide their financial status from their husbands.

FEC is where they gather to debate on things they would actually do.
New regulations,advisory positions,opinions on public matters,etc...
Like a place where some sucker can stand up and say let's make defending the naira artificially a norm for the rest of our lives, the group will vote, approve and tomorrow you will hear CBN injects 1 billion dollars in the fx market despite depleting reserves grin
There and then my friend, your dollars don cast grin grin
So that is why no hoarder or speculator or BDC want to have fx at that time or won't buy at normal price no more. angry
Thread with caution bro,but I've kinda heard somethings from my tomato seller friends that suggests hoarders or speculators are safe,FOR NOW.
smiley
There are plenty meetings like that;MPC,FEC,etc...

They don't discuss forex in FEC..If it is MPC, I can agree but we all know how things work in Nigeria. It is a one man or some cabal that decide on how things are run in this country.
If you buy low there is nothing to fear.

No matter what CBN or anybody says as long as oil price and reserve is low naira will continue to depreciate.

Hello bro,

About the coin, how can i get it too.
I will like to keep my money in a currency that is immune to inflation or devaluation.
Can you explain more about it.

Binance has really made things easy for Nigerians.
Search for binance and follow the instructions on how to register.
Once you register and your account verified, you can deposit money directly with your mobile banking app or your card.
You can buy busd directly with your naira though I will not advise you to buy at current price.
Price today is between N437 and N450.

I will be glad to answer any other question you may have here.

Binance USD (BUSD) is a stable coin pegged to USD that has received approval from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS).

It is a stable coin created by binance (the largest crypto exchange in the world by volume) that is pegged to the dollar.

Buying busd is like buying dollar.

Decisions they make at the FEC can affect fx very well.
Such arrogance in ignorance.
I guess you now know more than the BDC players that reduce their buying price for black market fx because of FEC that held today.
So you don't know that if they decide to boost manufacturing sector in Nigeria and increase local sales and export of finished products, one f the measures they might use is devaluation of naira or outright float?

As a woman is it proper to hand over a house you built while you were single or house which you inherited from your parents to your husband?

I have heard cases of some men who expected women to change the name on the title documents of such properties.

Coincidentally am from that part of state u mentioned and conversant with the ways and culture . These things eminent from personal believes of the man in question , greed doesn’t have culture nor boundaries.i believe that every man have his mindset and has programmed it to suit himself thereby using his power as head of family to manipulate his wife to suit and water his greed, caveat NOT ALL MEN [quote author=afroxyz post=8951024

Am trying hard to refrain from saying "it's a lie". My success story comes from my early exposure to the streets. The reverse I'd rather the case. Rich kids rarely succeeds, 90% of the Benjamin's are from poor background. Awolowo grandson was busy looking for few millions months back. The abiolas, iwuanyanwu and their likes, first generation will still meet up the stored wealth of it was enormous like the abachas that still keep coming, certainly by second generation it's squandered because they failed to learn the art of making money simply because they were already in the comfort zone. The poor in the other hand strives to break even at all cost including his life. As I speak, I owe my kids only their education and it's the reason am not into landed property, don't want to give them that feeling that everything is on place for them to flex rather than hustling through strife to break even. If my parents were rich, I would have died by now or been useless. My motivation was the poverty staring at me every day, I knew I can't live that life for long.
Please tell me, how did you start all these investments? How much did you start it? How long have you been in it? I have been following your comments and I am inspired. I have had and still have this drive for investments but the funds to start has just been the issue for me. I don't have a job yet.

It all depends on your banks.
As for binance, the maximum deposit per day for banking apps is 18m while that of card is 430k.

I believe so.
Did one around 2015 when naira to dollar disparity was much, around 70k between cbn rate and parallel rate.
A lot of guys made it then, you transfer from bank using moneygram to ghana, go to ghana for withdrawal and change the dollar in nigeria.
On average, i made 50k per $1,000 after removing transport and miscellaneous.
I can't do that any more because am too busy and too stressful to be going to accra regularly.
The present difference now between cbn #360/$1 to black market #435/1$ is big to kick start roundtripping again.
I'm too old for that now bro, no more on the street.

I dont get it. We have brains and bleed red just like men do. Why treat women differently? #shrugs

It depends on if we are running a joint ownership of everything. I would expect to be in on his properties as well.
Just ignore the brainless men on this forum. I mean, why would any sensible person be even asking that question whether in his mind, dreams, or out loud, if a woman should hand over ownership of her property to her husband? Did you hear yourself? (shocked). From now on I'll take the advice of a lady I respect on this thread: ignore all these men without brains.
