Not that straight forward, they planned raising more money this year but the current realities will make that an impossibility.
The only way I can be convinced that this post was not made to mislead is
if you post a link to the information that UACN or UPDC plan to raise additional fund this year. grin cheesy

We invest based on the integrity and competence of management.

If asked to choose between integrity and competence, I will choose integrity.

A management with integrity and no competence, will still make money for Investors to an extent.

But a management with competence without integrity , will make us loses our money and the business will become seriously invested.

But last december on treasury bill thread you adviced people to buy UACN at N10

Please what has changed

Don't make a bet on the sincerity of a greedy management.

CAPL made a profit in 2019 but dividends was suspended because of Covid 19. CEOs salary increased by over 200%.

Too bad the company does not have enough reserves, the dividends shareholders ought to collect for the year 2019 is what workers and management will use for their survival in 2020 because of the pandemic.

Who does that? Except a selfish management.

UACN has a market capitalisation of about N20 billion which is too small for the business, a hostile takeover of 20% of the outstanding shares with a war chest of N10 billion will give shareholders a minimum returns of 100% with 3 months when the bid is launched. But who are the corporate raiders in corporate Nigeria?

A lot has changed, based on the greed on the current management.
Don't do business with greedy management, Oando, First Bank are few examples.

The core Investors might have taken a leveraged position, everything is to sell assets of the company and book profit. You remember how Oando sold there Property, booked profit and became a tenant in the same property.

GSK sold Ribena and shared the proceeds of N7.00 per shares to shareholders, I am yet to see a Nigerian managed business that will do this.

Mind you I am diversified, UACN is one of the 60 stocks I have in my portfolio I have sold down and reinvested into other asset even thoughI still have about 30,000 units left.

A core Investor with debts will settle his debts, pay the banks, make a minimum upside of 100% before thinking of the retail Investors.

I know some insiders are reading this or some people who know the insiders are reading this and it is my sincere prayers that you will prove me wrong and make shareholders smile.

Investors should pray for the best but should be prepared for the worst this is how to be sane while playing this game

We has seen the good and ugly analysis of UACN

Let's not over stretch this UACN issue...everyone is his/her own fund managers

If you feel UACN will give you the big profit go ahead and load, and if you think otherwise put your money elsewhere

After the race...we count how many miles!

Good morning.

Hope you reside in Lagos because you will need to send the signed hard copy of the form to them? According to both Morgan capital and Meristem, CSCS no longer accepts scanned soft copies of the transfer form even in this era of technology!

If you reside outside Lagos, it is better you sign at least 20 copies of the transfer form and post it to your stockbroker for this outstanding dividend and for future ones especially for a different registrar to avoid another cycle of future disappointment due to transfer forms issues.
You don't need to sign or send physical forms on wealth.ng just register and complete your verification process, your dividends will drop in your wallet or bank according to your choice.

Why u carry this UACN for head like so, every day u keep repeating same thing, we don hear na. Na so u love us reach? U want us to hammer by fire by force abi? cheesy

Something tells me u are equally scared and uncertain, u want to lure as many people to get in and so raise prices, so even if casala burst you go still collect on stock appreciation.

If gains were sure I don't think u would be advertising aggressively like this. My thought sha.

If you like stay there and let the orpportunity pass.

UACN go poo, vomit, pea and mess.
Poo = capital appreciation
Vomt = dividend from the coy
Pea = unbundling
Mess = UPDCREIT go also pay dividend.

Most likely, I don't know why some of these companies can't emulate Julius Berger, based on the cyclical nature of their business it is not every year they make profits, but they pay dividends every year

Ok, what is all this psychological gymnastic about UACN

If you see profitability in UACN - BUY and Hold

IF you don't see profitability in UACN- Sell and don't Buy

But if you are in doubt - Buy small fold your hand and watch.

No body here in on the Board of UACN , all we are relying on are the Information supplied to the NSE.

Let me paint a picture of what stupidity looks like with this your inordinate post. Only a tone deaf, uneven, obtuse, maddeningly dumb clunker and benightedly lifeless microcephalic will come up with such a verdict against Pa Emmanuelwunmi.

What are you in the scheme of things really? What value do you bring? Nothing, I guess!

Entitlement is a delusion built on self-centeredness and laziness. You are the captain of your portfolio. Man up and take responsibility for your actions/inactions.

This campaign of calumny against our trusted/valuable contributors on NSEMPA has to be nipped in the bud. Else, we would all wake up one day to find this place desolate.

Pa Emmanuelwunmi, I apologize on behalf of the Buffon (talk2me2), please continue to be unapologetic about sharing your views, it is incumbent upon everyone of us to do our due diligence before taking any investment decisions.

Don't mind that sokoto cow!!!! who knows if he is even a normal sane person. this was how they chased sir OGG out of here, and now the bros doesn't even reply to mails and private feedy. some idiots are on a mission to rid this place of useful contributors but na baba God go punish all of them. wicked rotten souls. evildoers!!!!

Guy I from the very moment I saw this your post I quickly moved into research about UACN. Here are my findings:

UACN has 2,881,296,580 ordinary shares of 50k each.
UPDC has 18.462billion ordinary shares of 50k each after the right issue.
Accordig to reuters.com UACN now own 93.9% or 17.34 billion shares of UPDC. When UACN unbundles UPDC, the 17.34B shares will be alloted pro rata to the shareholders of uacn i.e 17.34b ÷ 2.88b = 6 shares of updc for 1 share of uacn held.

In addition, UPDCREIT has 2,668,269,500 units of N10 each.
UPDC own 61.5 % or 1,640,985,742 units of UPDCREIT.
And uacn own 93.9% or 1,540,885,611 units of updcreit.
the pro rata means 1.54b ÷ 2.88b = 0.53 unit for 1 share of uacn held. Now let's multiply 0.53 by 2 = 1.06 or 1 unit of updcreit for ever 2 shares of uacn.

SUMMARY
THEREFORE, FOR EVERY TWO SHARES OF UACN THAT SHAREHOLDER HAD THEY WILL RECEIVE ONE UNIT OF 10 NAIRA EACH OF UPDCREIT AND TWELVE SHARES OF UPDC AS BONUS SHARES.

OGA YOUR HEAD IS CORRECT. grin cheesy

I have already made UACN the 65 % of my portfolio, hoping to add more before the unbundlings finally take place in July.

We are making alot of money this year. grin grin grin

My dear I commend you for posting this analysis I did not have the time to do all the typing that's the reason I posted only the summary.
