This is another reason for block account, drivers needs to take note of, I have never heard they block people for this. Anyway I don't think it is a permanent block. You need to contact Bolt support, so that they can look into your matter. Set the radius on your app to 2KM so that you stop getting request from far distance and try as much as possible to limit client did not show and missed request

That 2km radius is just a farce.

I HV had long distant PUs before ( 7km n beyond). I don't go o. I let it slide. Pick up DT rider mite still eventually cancel.

The app just picks d closest driver in DT area ,radius setting or not.

it's not, I have used it so many times. It's works for me. I have had instances of getting request from Apapa whenever am in Marina, Broad street and CMS. After adjusting it from 3KM to 2KM, I stopped getting request from there.

all I can say is that you should be careful about your rider did not show cancellations. Always try to check the percentage at the end of the day

About your question... yes I did cancel all trips after 5 minutes. Well I’m left with the option of doing only Uber but Uber no be work. I’ve moved on already.

Rider did not show, Number not available, Forbidden area, I do not wish to serve this client... I've use them all as the case demands. If Bolt blocks today, man go still survive. The good thing is that you've adapted to the situation. Hopefully you'll get unblocked soon.

Question: How many times can a rider cancel before getting blocked?

i hope so too bro

Well I don’t know how many times you cancel before you get blocked. I never knew one could be blocked as a result of rider did not show cancellations until I tried to login and noticed my account was blocked

I personally domt think Dru will comeback to nairaland again, among many reasons I'll only state one sarcastically.

Give yourself a two weeks break from nairaland or let the mods ban you say for like 7days, you would have noticed NL adds little or no value to you rather a total waste of resource, time and energy which you've profited you more had you invested those same time, resource and energy on something else.

In a nut shell, dru isn't coming back because it doesnt cost anything to create another other moniker.

Same reason is behind my erratic presence here if not for the mentions, hineatly? I don't know.

There is a reason it is called NAIRA LAND some of us have tapped into the naira part.

I thought this thread was for Uber but its like bolt has more talks for now..

Uber is really milking driver. They charge 25% and sometimes up to 50% from trips.
Currently they are still taking 25% from me even after 27 trips for the week. When I emailed them for taking 50% they said they are adding more charges for other fees thus making the fare bigger than it should. This means they are getting debts from riders through me without my consent. These guys should be reported or sued.
They are really cheating. I am switching to bolt. But its quite unfortunate that bolt activation process is so slow. Nigeria factor. Till today their office is still locked.. God help us in this country

Uber is just like a general name ...just like "Maggi" instead of the seasoning ...so Uber encompass all e-hailing app.

Before the Corona pandemic Bolt has the fastest activation process compared to Uber...their office being close is because they are not ready to onboard partners for now....Their support service is quite available

Well, every man to his cup. I think it all boils down to personal preferences. That's why some drivers r still on Uber.

I mean I need to know where I'm going to in Lagos. I can't just b driving around Lagos wtout purpose.

The plan is to make profits n not to just keep driving forming activity. Sadly, uber fares. .. embarassed too low.

Heading home nko. Uber's destination is always non- responsive. If I'm going home from island n I set destination to mainland on Bolt.

Worst case I get yaba or ogudu WC is still good. grin

On uber, you HV to keep trying. embarassed somtyms sef I gat blow empty wen I Neva knew Bolt was d bomb back then.

Abi na those short trips n you see #370 something naira. angry.

Wt a corolla for godsakes wat will #370 naira do for me ..

On bolt. Weda its from point a to b even if na just 3-5 mins ride. Its #500 flat..

N so on. Mehn , I can't be forming posh n still get shortchanged.

If at COB , d 5% margin gives me an extra #500- #750 daily . In 20 days, I have #10,000- 15000 to play with.

That's very fine by me.

Really? There was no mail to that effect. I even tried checking now and the 'Revenue' and 'Net' from Monday is the same. I'll look out for it.

But wait o, if really it's now 27%, would that make me jilt Bolt grin grin

I noticed too that the revenue and net not changing.
Are they truly planning to increase commission without increasing riders fares?

I’m owing bolt 8k plus. Now I can’t get cash trips.
Please I need there account to pay. I didn’t get their mail. After paying what is the code I need to send to them.
Secondly, I check my balance can’t find the net and commission they remove. I calculated and discovered they are charging about 30% right now. I tried to check my previous weeks balance and transactions, they have removed every thing. What is Bolt try’n to do. I mail them since Monday no respond. Uber just make Bolt de shine. I wish uber can adjust and compete with Bolt by reducing there percentage and allow destination works at all time afterall u only have 2 slots to set destination. I love uber but can’t on it right now cos it’s a total slavery right now. Very low fare and high percentage. Bolt on the other hands are thiefs.

Twice for low rating and first time for passenger do not show... Can't get them as the support says its not up to them to be precise on matters like this.

I think say nah only me detect their high commission these days, they charge you 20% on Cash trips and another 20% on the outstanding you are owing (card trips), its really annoying. And all these commissions being are being charged on a low cheap fares. How much will u keep for fuelling, maintainance and other expenses. They should look for into these cos it is not fair. 40% commission is too much.

I think they are having issues, that why they have been doing all this mess up, even their line is not going and you can't review, it will come back as same, even my revenue and net is same.
