I remember when I was in Ss3 ... I had this beautiful class mate of mine called Uchechi ...she was a very funny and lively girl and she was a Witness.

One fateful day she had an accident on her way to write NECO exam .... She lost a lot of blood and was the hospital requested for blood transfusion but the parents refused ... Everyday we went to the hospital we literally watched our classmate tether on the brink of death just because of a stupid manmade ideology.

Our principal had to involve social service authorities from the local govt and when they intervened, they took over the case and called the senior brother who was in another state to come and donate blood since the parents were adamant.

That was how Uchechi's life was saved but the unity of their family was never saved because she quitted the church when she went to Uni and her parents kind of partially disowned her.

It's better for her to be disowned than to be dead.

Why don't you guys marry outside your church but your members have sexual intercourse with non members.

Why don't you guys accept other churches books and listen to their preaching but you go around knocking on people's doors.

Why don't you guys enter other churches if invited to weddings or anniversaries, which I know you do celebrate.

Why?
This one loud. I dated a Jehovah witness lady for 2yrs and wanted to get married to her. She refuse alongside her parents. Telling me that I must join JW before getting married to her

Answer my question na. The OP already said they dont because of the fakes that abound. So my question is why dont they speak the genuine one?

Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, ijaw, Urhobo Isoko, Beni etc are the different tongues in Nigeria and I am sure there are witnesses that speaks those tongues.

the apostles did not just uttered meaningless words.

they speak tongues.... that is other people languages.... and were understand by others too

When I left home, studying with Jehovah witnesses helped my life tremendously. I am eternally grateful to sister Rose and her team who helped me study the Bible and also helped me with books.

I started a business which paid for my university degree because they opened my eyes to think and critically examine things in accordance with biblical injunctions.

Their teachings helped me through school and I never blocked any course or failed any major course except French and political science which I failed cos I refused to block. They were electives anyway, so there was no need to rewrite them as they were immaterial.

Soon, we were able to help each other gain a better understanding of the Bible as we prayed and shared lunch together. They often came every Sunday and my wife(girlfriend as she then was), will prepare rice and stew. We ate together, we were happy and prayed for a better tomorrow.

I wish I could have that opportunity all again to have sister Rose or any member of her team come to share the Bible with me. I miss them, but may God bless them wherever they are right now.

I take solace in the fact that I am able to access their awake and watchtowers, including other materials online or pick from their stand when ever I can.

I once visited Igeduma-Ehor, Edo State on a tour and enjoyed my visit.

As an Omnist, I learnt how to respect other people's beliefs. Take what you can and leave the rest, but never castigate them for their way of life.

I will forever be grateful to Jehovah witnesses for how God used them in making my life what it is today.

I don't have a monopoly of knowledge, I learn every day. But I am ever grateful to them and the Living Faith Family for how God used them in blessing my life.

Jehovah witnesses are good at what they do and if everyone could be as dedicated to duty as they are, the World will be a better place.

To every dedicated Jehovah witnesses out there, I say may God reward you richly for sharing the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, regardless of the challenges that abound.

I am eternally grateful for your books, it thought me how to study and apply logical cum analytical reasoning, which has helped my legal practice as a litigator.

May Gehenna and her flames be far from your abode. Amen.

By the way am in love with one but she is trying to convert me to believe in things am not comfortable with like that Jesus is not God. Am being patient with her cos she truly loves me, am planning on coming to a compromise with her in our different beliefs so that religion won't interfere with our relationship, my pet name is unbeliever though but am okay with it once she is comfortable with not irritating me with her belief. Am very sure she ain't gonna agree to sex too but am fine with cos I've had my own fair share of sex in this life and am tired of it.

Oga Jesus is not God. She is only trying to persuade you because you can't marry her unless you are a JW. If she does, she will be defellowshiped (if that's the right term).
The thing is, draw closer to their teachings and I bet you won't regret it. To me, Christianity is about emulating the lifestyle of Chirst and if anything comes closest to it today, it is their lifestyle.

1.
Myth: Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in heaven.
Apparently, this is not a new saying as people tend to say what they might have heard about the Witnesses not scrutinizing them whether or not they are truth.

.
Truth: Jehovah's Witnesses believe in heaven as the residence of the Creator of the Universe.
.
2. Myth: Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in hell.
.
Truth: This is where people misunderstand themselves. Jehovah's Witnesses believe 'Hell' is the common grave of mankind. Witnesses do not believe in 'hell fire' as it is unbiblical, unless you'll show me where the original sinners -- Adam and Eve -- went to 'hell fire.'
.
3.
Myth: Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate anything.
.
Truth: If you mean holidays like birthdays, Christmas etc., of course yes. Think: what is the relevance of Santa Claus in the bible? Do they or not have pagan origins? In fact, Witnesses commemorate the Death of Jesus as Jesus asked his disciples to do.
.
4. Myth: Jehovah's Witness do not speak in tongues.
.
Truth: Well, Jehovah's Witnesses speak many languages as they come from differing lands but do not involve in the ecstatic speaking performed today by religious leaders. The first century Christians who received the gift used it to preach to people (as the early congregants were filled with people from many lands), so they spoke a language and all who heard understood. Note: To preach. Is that what is done today? Don't throw caution to the wind.

.
5. Myth: Jehovah's Witnesses do not do blood transfusions and are wicked to see their loved one die.
.
Truth: Witnesses put much faith in doing God's will. Sorry to disappoint you, they love their children and loved ones. In fact, medical practitioners agree that it is not safe either, and no guarantee of living well or surviving as no blood samples really match another. Besides, there are other non-blood media. Coming to think of it, Witnesses put faith in the resurrection. Yes, so why worry of this wicked world?

When I get to the bridge of marriage and she can't marry me cos she is a jehovah witness, then I'll find another love, there are so many girls on earth. One thing is that I can't believe in the shit jehovah witness teach, I engage her in arguments and she can't even defend what she believes in. I love her, that is what matters, if she can't compromise when the time comes for our love, then I'll gladly leave. Hia! Is that so hard?

JEHOVAH WITNESS DO NOT GIVE OFFERINGS IN CHURCH..DO YOU KNOW THIS PART, BUT HOW DO THEY RAISE FUNDS FOR GOD'S WORK

Jehovah's witnesses, are divided into smaller groups based on how close ur location is, so every year some amount of money is being assigned to each Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's witnesses, and divided among the groups according to their numbers, so each member pay some certain money assign to them, for the year. you may every month or how convenient for you.

note:::: there are box at some corner of the Kingdom Hall, met for voluntary donation of money.....

Unless you are part of them u won't know how it goes.

This one tore my family apart. Your men are mostly gold diggers who want to marry out of their class, y’all don’t mind leeching on others as long as you don’t have to dirty your hands. Let me not even start on the misogyny and how much control is taken. The sanctity of family is torn apart because of religion which should never be. Una? Umhhmm. It’s someone that doesn’t know that thinks it’s harmless.
