1Sharon: Well, Jehovah's Witnesses refusal to take blood transfusion is not so much because it is unsafe, it is because that practice contravenes God's law on the use of blood. God specifically commanded that his servants must not eat blood. Blood must not be misused. At Genesis chapter nine verse three and four, God was very clear - don't eat blood. Genesis 9:3,4. When he gave the Mosaic law, he re-emphasized that the only proper use of blood is for atonement (sacrifice), that blood must not be eaten but should be poured into the dust if an animal was slaughtered to be eaten. Read Leviticus chapter 17:13-16 In the Christian era, it was again emphasised that Christians should abstain from blood. So how should Christians abstain from blood? When we considered God's law on how blood was to be handled or used we understood that we must not eat blood. Whether or not safe, Christians must abstain from blood transfusion. Blood Transfusion amounts to improper use of blood. Please read Acts chapter 15:28,29. . |

CAPSLOCKED:Pilate asked Jesus "What is Truth" -John 18:38. What did you think he did next, he went out. Pilate wasn't interested in knowing the answer despite having the opportunity to learn it from Jesus himself. Jehovah's Witnesses are not new to you, you see them in your neighborhood, you meet them online I see you comment repeatedly on their thread, their website jw.org is public. Why don't you harness these avenues to answer the question above instead of trying to start an online argument. |

wisewordd:1. Suppose I am a female Witness you marry and I wish to go to meetings and observe all things Witnesses do, will you accept it in good fate? Perhaps, God's word says we should marry in the Christian congregations; people who share your belief. 2 and 3. We worship only Jehovah. Most of your questions have been answered at JW.org. |

1x2x3: First thing first, this is not about u been JW or not, it's about a statement u made. Jesus is not God! I decided to use the NWT to show where the bible calls Jesus God. And u say it's ignorance! I quoted Isaiah, so if ur claiming I am ignoranct then u prolly mean Isaiah is the ignorant one here because I quoted him. Finally JWs can argue blindly for Africa, dnt be deceived |

Re: Five (5) Misconceptions About Jehovah's Witnesses. by Nobody: 4:11pm On May 31, 2020 |
explosiveskull: There is no need to argue on this Sir! Jesus set the standard we are following, when Mary (his mother) Joseph-junior, James, Jude and Simon (his four blood brothers from the same mother) came to where he was preaching, an individual called Jesus' attention perhaps to honour their presence. Jesus said about his own relatives "who is my mother and who are my brothers?" then extending his hands to those listening to his preaching his said "look my mothers, brothers, father's and sisters, whoever does the will of the one who sent me is my brother and sister and father" Matthew 12:46-49 So to Jesus only his fellow believers are his families NOT those related to him! For your information, it was only James and Judes joined their mother to accept Jesus, according to Jesus the rest of his brothers and sisters have perished! John 3:16-18 |

mitchyy: What is not clear about my statement and questions madam. You said one of the most important commandment Jesus gave was that y'all should go out preaching the word of God. Then I quoted James 1:3 That says not many of you should be teachers because teachers would be judged with a stricter judgement. Doesn't it mean, Ur organisation is making y'all teachers thereby condemning some of u to hell? |

SILVERLINES: Silverlines, I see. But have you really taken time to study the Bible to know why we JW take that position. Because come to think of it, we too are humans, we don't want to die. So for us to hold to that belief there must be a very very strong reason. You know what, Satan would do anything to make people work against God's purpose. So we are always very careful accepting any practice unless we are convinced such does not contravene God's law. But in the case of blood transfusion God's law is clear broken, hence we don't accept it. I wrote this a while ago. You can read it please: Well, Jehovah's Witnesses refusal to take blood transfusion is not so much because it is unsafe, it is because that practice contravenes God's law on the use of blood. God specifically commanded that his servants must not eat blood. Blood must not be misused. At Genesis chapter nine verse three and four, God was very clear - don't eat blood. Genesis 9:3,4. sassiemyk: Your analysis doesn't even match. It's only JW that interpret those Bible passages that they readily cite as not donating blood. And give reasons like...it is not safe or a guarantee that the person will get well. But won't you at least try if that will save the child? Rather than watching the child die. Besides haven't the JW organisation reversed that doctrine? Doesn't it mean that it was just a doctrine and not a clear interpretation of the Bible? |
Re: Five (5) Misconceptions About Jehovah's Witnesses. by 1x2x3: 4:13pm On May 31, 2020 |
freshboi88: I would advise you to focus on whatever you believe in. JW would rather focus on what they believe in or they would rather focus on teaching you but would never criticise or call any denomination hypocrite........... You see the difference? |
