I'll take Van De Beek and other play makers in Europe over Maddison or any English midfielder but using stats alone to judge Maddison isn't enough, take out time to see Leicester City games and you'd know how good he is...

Knowing Ole’s modus operandi, it seems they’re leaving. Only homegrown player rules can save them now.

Why are clubs not rushing Ajax’e Neres? Dude is a magician!

James is needed for matches that require more counter-attacks, he can stay on as a sub for Sancho / Greenwood.

It’s really amazing how this team might actually have some real squad depth finally.. like subbing Sancho for Greenwood, Bruno for Fred etc. without it being a downgrade.

If a 4-4-2 diamond is used, it limits the team’s strength on the wings, something Ole wouldn’t want from his tactics so far.

It’s a good thing we’re having replacements and more options in several areas of the pitch.

James is a fantastic piece of business. He isn’t expensive and won’t mind sitting on the bench. He himself expects to play 20 EPL games or less per season. And he can be effective too.

We still need players. Real competition will keep players on their toes.

P. S: Did the arrival of Ighalo push Martial to do better in any way?
