[s][/s]My question to you is that does living in Bondage just spring out of thin air? Who are those into movies before then? Ogunde, Papa Ajasco, and so on were already in the game several years before living in bondage.

There are several evolution of the movies industry in Nigeria. From stage dramas, shows on Tvs, Video Casette, VCDs, Cinema theaters, Online streaming, now playing on the international scene Netflix.

Nollywood is just a name, what is the definition of Nolywood and what is the scope of Nollywood? Is Nolywood only English language movies? If No, then you have no argument here.[s][/s]
Enough of the back and forth already! All the names you lots keep calling were only known by the Yorubas alone. LIVING IN BONDAGE gave birth to Nollywood.

Are you asking me? You sounded so sure initially. I want you to tell me how much your Yoruba movies are generating that has made them to surpass the earning of Igbos in Nollywood.

You are the one quoting mathematics since. Can you tell me the amount the Igbo movies are generating from the numbers you are quoting?

They are trying so hard to change the narrative, but it is dead on arrival.

Kenneth Nnebue a traderin 2by2 shop with no fancy certificate started Nollywood. His name is etched in gold and no amount of propaganda from the west will wipe that fact.

Don't mind these Yoruba clowns trying desperately to rewrite history.

Haha lol. I gave you 90 movies with their figures and revenue.

You have been quoting maths since without telling us what part of the revenue that is in Igbo hands.

People know me on this forum that I talk with statistics, I don't have time to waste.

Give us the source of your mathematical claim and the share of Igbos in the Nolywood revenue or keep shut.

OLODO! I didn't make you skip your math class, sorry.

When you are given constant in maths, your job is to find the variables. I gave you the total revenue for the year, and what your high grossing contributed for that year. Yet you want me to help you find x. grin

The point to take home from the lecture today is that, your high grossing movies contribute less than 0.1 % of the total money generated in Nollywood everyyear. You home work is to find x, which is what the real owners take home every year.

This is rubbish!

So Yoruba movies that has been in existence since the days of Ogunde doesn't count? When did the Igbo started telling Igbo stories?

You guys are boring me with all these roforofo talks!
it is not our business if you choose to abandon your industry and story. Hausas know they wouldn't be comfortable having Igbo's tell their story and its religious connotations that is why they hold onto kannywood. Yorubas have their own story told in Yoruba language, they have their actors who belong to a union separate from nollywood Actors guild of Nigeria called association of theatre act practitioners of Nigeria, so what's the fuss about being part of nollywood? Do you think an average actor of the Yoruba section be him Yoruba or English would be identified as a nollywood actor outside Nigeria?

First of all I will fight you because of misinformation unless if you change your post to reflect true realities.

Igbos don’t own Nollywood, they are just part of the numbers and the Yorubas are the mega entrepreneurs raking in all the money from Nollywood. Yoruba own the Nolywood.

If you think I’m lying, attached is the top 50 highest Nollywood grossing movies of all time. Yoruba produced movies dominated the list conveniently and we dominate the list when you also check the top 90 grossing movies.

Yoruba own the Nollywood, Nigeriawood, Musicwood, Awardwood, entertainmentwood. Infact Yoruba rule the entertainment industry in Nigeria.
