Twistaray: Why are you this lazy. Iroko tv is not a hidden company. The other site is even conservative with their estimated earnings of $350,000 monthly. (Multiply by 12 months and convert to naira to cure your ignorance) Some other sites put his annual revenue at $8.2 million annually, just distributing Nollywood movies Also try to note the difference in the currency sign i put in front of figures, it will help your confused mind. Lastly, you missed the whole point of my debate. I do not in anyway dispute your high grossing movies on the list. I even dash you all including the ones produced and directed by Igbos and other tribes. I came in when your brother claimed that because of these high grossing movies that Yorubas has displaced Igbos as top people raking in all the cash in Nollywood. I had to put the record straight. We welcome your foray, it's a good development and will grow Nollywood to greater heights. But your output is still less than 1% of what is already on ground. Lol |

gwafaeziokwu: Some sites? Are these sites quoting figures or they have facts to back it? Lmao!!! Some sites are now his figures and stats. You keep shouting 1% but when I asked you to provide how you come about your imaginary 1% you failed, you were babbling. See... Dude! Stop acting like a typical IBO man that loves pulling figures and claiming imaginary wealth with no physical facts. To start with you screenshot states; Nigeria firm industry which consists of all movies produced in Nigeria so I am wondering how you separate the numbers or movies produced by Housahood, ibowood , yorubahood, and the Nollywood is dominated by the yorubas. How? Lmao. 2 Likes |

gwafaeziokwu: And he was right because you guys have been relegated to low budget movies, movies meant for locals, CDs movies. Our input is less than 1%, where you got that from to start with? |
Re: FG Congratulates Mo Abudu On Netflix Deal by gwafaeziokwu: 3:54pm On Jun 15, 2020 |
SW1st: Lol Obi Emeronye, Izu Ojukwu, Chinny Onwuegbu even Genevieve and many others wil give your head a well deserved knock for saying that Igbos do not produce high bugdet movies. Anyway ignorance is bliss enjoy it. We have not been relegated to anything dear. Low bugdet films made Nollywood a $3.3billion dollar industry. Nollywood is defined by the low budget movies. For instance ,in your list 8 movies made it the high grossing movies compliation in 2019. Yet every year 2500 movies are produced and these movies generate a value of estimated $590 million dollars annually. In this case, the 8 high grossing movies in 2019 weighed in #1,080,000,000 (1.1billion naira approximately ). So about 2,490 movies are still unaccounted for. Now $590million dollars equal #224 billion naira. Deduct your 8 high grossing from this figure and tell me it it is up to 1% of the total earnings in Nollywood annually. Nollywood was rated the third best in the world before the high budget people joined the fray. We welcome them all including our Igbo guys making waves but do not ever talk down on the low bugdet movies again. Those guys gave you a $3.3billion INDUSTRY. They took off between 1 to 2 million youths off the labour market and shoot up Nigeria to no 1 economy in Africa when thier efforts were finally captured in our GDP. |

gwafaeziokwu: I don't get you. Perhaps, you are just trying to be funny or fight a lost battle. I keep asking you how did you arrived at your imaginary figures when your link ( at the screenshot below ) state; Nigeria movies industry ' which comprises ; Ibowood, Yorubawood, Hausawood, and Nollywood. Are you being funny or what? Edited, the pic isn't coming up. But here, I quote your the link you provided ; Nigeria’s film industry: a potential gold mine? Another one, maybe you don't understand English well ; Nigeria's movies industry ( which consists all movies produced in nigeria) generates $1billion |

gwafaeziokwu: Now, this is how the yoruba dominate and rake in the highly in the industry while ibos are relegated to the back producing cd movies that don't sell no more. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pulse.ng/bi/lifestyle/top-5-nollywood-movies-that-won-at-the-box-office-in-2019/20kjlsk.amp |

SW1st: Go to page six or seven and see the list of 50 high grossing movies posted by your brother. That is the material I am working with. I didn't bother to download it cos it's of no use to me. Go through it, sift out the figures do the maths and come back for more coherent discussion. It is obvious we are on different pages. I was even saying $590million, so our total revenue don reach $1billion annually? It gets worst for your unfounded claims. @the bolded, answer by yourself, how can you generate $2.28 million naira in a year and claim to be the highest earners in an industry that generate $1 billion dollars annually (according to you ). The smart thing to do is to find out how this revenue is shared among these four main Nollywood divisions. It is only then that you can come out to beat your chest. |
Re: FG Congratulates Mo Abudu On Netflix Deal by SW1st: 5:14pm On Jun 15, 2020 |
gwafaeziokwu: I am finding your argument funnier than a serious one. Like seriously, you have a problem with either math or English comprehension. Like, what the heck did you just wrote up there? Did you check who dominates the said lists by my brother( like you put it)? WTF!!! What kind of calculation did you just do like seriously, you couldn't figure a simple lists. Mehn, these are just a few or best among the bests lists. Doorh! they ain't the overall movies produced annually. These are few individuals raked-in movies at that time of the year. Lmao. |

SW1st: I have finally figured out why a child from Anambra and many southeastern states is expected to have a higher propensity to ace his exams even at Elementary level than his counterparts from all over the nation. Even at Elementary level Nigerian system recognises that he can easily put logic to reason and get his output. Recent studies in US and UK confirmed that. Many of your compatriots has come argued and left without grasping this very simple logic. Really there is something fundamentally wrong with the type of education they dish out in the southwest. I deliberately allowed this to last because I wanted to confirm something and really it is shocking. Last homework, Exercise one: Go back to the list, bring out all the high grossing movies for 2019. Sum up their revenue(you can dig up the ones not on the list). Then deduct from the estimated annual Nollywood revenue of $1billion and write down your answer. Submit tomorrow for marking. Goodnight. |

gwafaeziokwu: Typical of you lot. Always pulling stats from their enus without a concrete fact to back it. We are yet to redeem you from your oral stats and imaginary figures and here, you are pulling off another one. Olodo. Apart from the lists of the high grossed revenue ain't yorubas speaking version and English nollywood, and hausa part of the $1 billion revenue? See why I believe you yeeboss are delusional and a bunch of chronic liars? Only a dunce will tag a whole industry ( Nigeria firm industry) an ibo industry when we have others plus mount zion firms. Mehn. To think that you are intelligent I am sad I fell for it. |
