No. Except you send an In-app message to them with details of the ride and pictures.

......but I’m 100% sure Bolt won’t do anything about it. Uber will request for invoice.

I don't agree with the program thing you mention

Bad locations. So I just tell them I'm not going..or some when they see that I'm far, they just cancel. You know how this request come in sometimes.

Guys, something happened this morning.

A shocking experience.

I got a trip from my end going to Itire surulere.

Using Google map, it told us to avoid Fagba traffic n follow old Abeokuta road.

Some few metres to the railway crossing at Odejobi.

A guy walked up to me , told showed me his police id card n told me to park.

At first, I thought maybe cos the rider didn't put on facemask,

I cleared off the road, the next thing go and open your boot.
I opened my boot, one of the policemen followed me n started checking the boot.

Then it dawned on me, dis was not facemask stuff, they were looking for drugs.

The policeman asked ." are you uber? I said yes.
By the time we got back to the front ,the other policeman was already in strong contention wt d lady rider. They found some SK or marijuana on her.

I was shocked myself, though she looked the part from her dressing wen i first picked her up. I just thought maybe its one of those girls coming back from last night hustle.. So no issues.

Long story short, we ended up at the police station. I just left now. She is still there...

I was going to raise the awareness here yesterday morning but events of the day got the best of me.

Yesterday morning there was road block at Abraham Adesanya, very strange, going to Addo road again they were there, I was thinking it’s due to a stunt a driver pulled on them on Saturday that got them furious to set a road block maybe they can get the car.

Most times when I pick up young guys they have drugs with them and tell me to help them keep it. I usually decline it, if it’s a route that I know police might be on the road (night hustle mostly) I cancel the trip. Roads that are police free, you hold on to your thing while I drive.

The driver that mad a mess of the SARS guys on Friday at Ilaje is a dare devil driver with his Matrix.

Anybody witnessed that scene?

Youe own self is good. Sometimes my goes as high as 80-85%.

Taxify riders cancel at will, I once picked an elderly woman from Ajegunle to her daughter's place in Ayobo some two months ago, when I arrived the first thing the daughter that requested for the ride did was looked at my face closely, I was somehow embarrased that I needed to ask why she was accessing me like, she said she didn't like the look of the previous 2 drivers that came b4 me so she had to cancel.

The annoying thing is when a driver is blocked for one/any of these reasons bolt technical team won't/don't have the sense to reaaon.

Well, bolt is the master in the game of monopoly so a reason to do and undo.

Sorry about that pope.

But I thought if there is a legal document as per change of ownership, it means the vehicle belongs to you now, number plate or not?
Isn't that the right thing? There is a legal document backing that you own d car n d number plate.

To all pilots.

Apropos to northbird recent post, I've been thinking on discussing on a topic "dangers and benefits of offline trips as against online trips".

During my orientation training with uber, similar case was raised and thank God the driver was on trip, police detained the driver along with the rider but uber officials came and got the driver released. Had that driver not been on a trip he would have been charged along side yhe rider.

So guys let's be careful when opting to offline trips.

There're many more disadvantages an offline trip comes with even but in all, only God will help us.

No legal backing for plate number oh my guy, plate number is a permanent property to the individual which the plate number is registered in his or her name. Change of ownership does not curtains number plate but the car alone so a new owner will have to get his or her own number plate registered in their names to suit the change of ownership and this process is always accompanied with a court affidavit and a police extract.

Pope191, what more can i say to you now? This problem would have been avoided had you done the right thing from the onset and all those while I was seeking advice from this same thread of "the dealer and new owner of my previous car" you know you'd similar problem you didn't borther to mention it now look at what this has resulted into. Even if the trip was online a smart and intelligent police would have still spot it in your papers.

Anyways, police is our friend just bargain with them starting from 5k but I'm very sure nothing short of 10k will come out of your pocket and bybthe time you come out of this make sure you go back and do tje right thing else you would have spend money meant for a plate number settling police on a daily or weekly basis.

Good luck

The money dey sweet you ba? grin grin

The money would come, but not so consistent. You can go months without making any sales depending on your location, radius and your options.

The way to start though is that you have to do a lot of netwalking , know the omo onile in your area and build a rapport with them. Also, watch out for houses under construction, relate with the owners.

Present yourself as someone established, they would listen to you especially when they know you're educated and live around. Let them understand you'd get them reputable tenants. Some might tell you they are not renting out, just drop your card, they often change their minds.

The best sales are the ones where you know the house owner directly and have access to the house for inspection.

Chief. It seems you have an advance knowledge on how this estate management/agency thing works. Kindly tell me how does an agent charge commission on a rent?

As I, what indices do they use ? and aside from agency, agreement and damages, are there any other charges?
Thanks.

I would have go berserk on u wit d frame of mind I have right now, but I won't do that, this is not the first time I am having such issue and I have been driving for 3 years at every check point, its a matter of communication. I don't sit all day following your post, so how do u expect me to know what U've said or not? and I won't dignify the right thing up with a response, its a set back, but the movement is even certain... First, you already did sarcastically.

The only management you need is your ego, take my advices from my previous post, or better still resort to previous means/ways since you've been having same or similar encounters in the past 3yrs. One thing is certain money must drop even if the state IG is your dad.

Do it timely and go back to work and if you still like don't take my friendly advice, you'll keep having yourself in same issue but until you do the right thing.

I understand how hard it is to swallow a bitter pile of truth.

In any case, good luck once more my good friend. wink

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by OnyeObodo: 1:38pm On Jun 23, 2020
Pope191,

Once you did change of ownership and have a police report to the sales, no police man on Gods green earth have the right to arrest you.

People sell their cars with plate numbers everywhere in the world. The only thing the police has to do is to call the registered number on the papers and he clarifies that the numbers are his.

The only other thing you need to be worried about is if the papers have expired. If not, look the police in the eye and say... Oga ffuck you!
