We have shown you Nairobi including it's metro. And all we get are the usual - pick the few slums that make 2% of Nairobi built up area. Next run to the race bla bla. Next run to the size...when evidence of Nairobi expanding nearly 60Kms in all directions abound.

How does one start to mentions slums in slum city. It's impossible. I cannot do it for Darslums. I cannot do it for Kinshasasa. I cannot do it for Lagos. Or the ultimate Slumpolis KANO city .

What I can do is to name the nice areas.

The rest you can happily classify them as slums.

In Nairobi, Joburg, Capetown - you can say - behold there is a slum - it's clearly demarcated and countable.

But for DarSlums outside the few decent areas - the rest of the city is a SEA OF POVERTY.

That is true. Nairobi has big slums. Your city is a slum with a few nice areas. Big difference. Nairobi is a metropolis. DarSlums is a SLumpolis. Kinshasasa, Lagos and Kano are example of your buddies.

KANO is the ultimate slumpolis of 4m people whose biggest highlight is a roundabout.

Kinshasa is on another level - 20m people living in shanties that expand as far as you can see.

Darslums - at least you got half-decent business district - more like Lagos.
